Good morning Karen! Thanks for getting us started! I'm glad Lily is feeling better and can join you on your walks again; I am so envious of your discipline and consistency -- I need to make that for myself!
I had a great weekend, good mix of getting stuff done and relaxing...I would have liked a bit more relaxing though!
Menu today is pretty good I think; I"m looking forward to it at least!
coffee + half and half and tea, plus water
b - oikos protein yogurt crunch
l - 4 oz ever roast chicken, 1 oz smoked gouda (I was looking for the applewood smoked cheddar I used to find in phoenix, they didn't have it at the grocery store but the cheese guy recommended this, it's pretty tasty and I don't like it quite as much as that other cheese so I have better self control).
d - 4 oz ever roast chicken
s - L&F greek

Good morning! I'm jumping in on these to get ideas and stay accountable.
I did well over the weekend. But I have been letting pasta creep back in my diet and I need to reign that in.
Today:
B: cheese and chicken omellette (I only ate 1/4 of it, my boyfriend ate the rest)
L: Steak and salad
S: Lasagna (I only eat one layer of noodles and otherwise eat the meat and cheese.)
I will also drink a protein drink.
If I have a snack, I normally eat crackers and cheese, but I am looking for ideas for better snacks and being more consistent with snacks.
- Surgery (RNY): February 27th 2018. HW: 350lbs SW: 318lbs CW: 141lbs
Snacks for me are often just regular foods, in a smaller quantity. Some snack ideas are:
String cheese
Pepperoni or turkey pepperoni microwaved into crisps
Mini colorful peppers dipped into greek yogurt with ranch seasoning
Deli meat rolled up with cheese, or dipped into mustard
Jerky
Hard-boiled eggs
Cottage cheese
Tuna
Really, you can have anything as a snack! If I eat crackers, I just crave more junky carbs, and although I reached my goal weight just shy of one year, I am in year 5 and fighting regain and it SUCKS, so try to keep pasta and crackers from creeping in..because sadly the scale starts to reflect it the further out you are :( I can't believe I can be down over 150 lbs and am finding losing 25 lbs so. so. so. hard.

Exactly! It's ppl like DCgirl that corral us back onto the right path.
Mornin' All!
Well our Turkish friend left this morning to go to his lab. He'll go back to the house where he's renting a room after work today. He stayed at our house this weekend - we had a great time with him. I already miss him, but I know my limit with having house guests is about three or four days, even if it's a family member (in some cases, ESPECIALLY if it's a family member!). But I did remind him that he's always welcome to spend an occasional night or weekend with us, and I'm sure he'll take us up on that again. I think he likes being over here.
Accountability: I overdid it on Turkish food this weekend (both nights), but it wasn't a disaster. Weight is the same. Back to the routine today!
3 years 8 months out:
B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with 1/3 mango, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: 1 C cottage cheese (either plain or whipped & sweetened with a few berries on top)
AS: light yogurt or raw veggies dipped in hummus or ranch Greek yogurt
D: chicken breast with some kind of vegetable
ES: same as AS
have a great day everyone!!
Good morning friends,
The day I could sleep in I was up bright and early over the weekend. I got my friends taxes done and mine almost done.
Im really worried about my dad, his oxygen levels keep dropping into the 70's. He's been sleeping somewhat in the recliner the last two weeks because he can't get comfortable in bed. He's seeing the orthopedic doctor on Wednesday for his hip pain. My stepmom is worried that he's developing pneumonia since he can't move much but he's stubborn when it comes to doctors.
I ate pretty good over the weekend, I did have a single bag of baked potato chips last night. I passed on the Hershey kisses that someone brought into church.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna and cottage cheese
D keto lasagna
Have a good day
