What' is on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Mercury must be in retrograde or something...I am hopping on the recurring theme of "this work week has been brutal". Yesterday I was bushed and thought "it MUST be Friday". Nope.
The bright spot in this week is my very energizing new gym routine. I tried a kickboxing cardio class last night (spin was full) and LOVED it. I was drenched in sweat, which is what tells me I burned calories :) I am so motivated. Also, the women who used to go to my gym who I was friendly with, while at the gym, have become friends of a sort...we text and coordinate classes...and it's nice to know some new local peeps. Most people meet other similar aged people through their kids, out here in the burbs, but since Kris' kids go to school in their mom's town, we don't have a lot of "make a friend" options. Kris is also an extrovert and doesn't feel the need to seek out friends. So I am just super pleased all around.
Also, helloooo...I have been so busy that I keep forgetting that I head to ICELAND next Tuesday. OMG I am beyond excited. And so grateful that Partlypollyanna (Jen) has been giving me tips and ideas. I can't wait...we are going swimming in a lagoon, snowmobiling on a glacier, trekking by a volcano...seriously. Pinch me, I feel so fortunate. I hope the cloud cover allows us to see the Northern Lights!
B: 3 oz Ever Roast chicken (LOVE to see this on so many menus!!!) 2 oz goat cheese, 4 small spicy peppers from the olive bar
L: Leftover trader joe's jalapeno chicken sausage
D: Chipotle bowl. I didn't defrost any meat and I am not in the mood to cook. I get no rice, and I do fajita veggies, half chicken half sofritas (their super flavorful tofu mixture), cheese, sour cream, guacamole. Kris (Mr. Alien who has never been a pound overweight) gets rice and beans and double chicken plus all the good acountrements. Life just isn't fair.
E: Body Works Plus Abs class tonight
QOTD: Avoid avoid avoid. I hate confrontations!!!

I am so excited for your trip! My gals that I went with last may and I were just texting this morning that our next trip there will be in the depth of winter like you. I really hope you see the NLs (and get a good picture so I can live vicariously)!

I just had to share with you, my dear OH friends that I finally found a caregivers group that meets bi-weekly here at the office. I know very little about it and whether I will find people who can be helpful. At least this is SOME progress after months of trying to find help and people to talk to.

Thanks! I'm completely exhausted and out of ideas of how to keep up with life.
