What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
"but please don't call for global warming to come back just because it's cold outside."
I see what you did here!!

Seriously, Daze?! That IS such a nightmare! Even a daily one hour commute sounds horrible, but FIVE hours....wow. I'm glad you made it home safely, even with your crazy wiper situation! We're supposed to get rain/snow here and I'm sure the moment the first staffer walks in the door they'll start asking me if we're going to close early.
QOTD: My "sport" was dance. By the time I was in high school, I was dancing 3 or 4 nights a week. The studio I went to was not like a ballet training school, there was no expectation anyone leaving there would be classically trained and heading to the Julliard. But I took ballet, pointe, jazz, occasionally modern and Irish Step, and was a "leader" for little kids classes - which I adored. Oh Mrs. Treon was such an important influence in my life, how I adored her!

This week I'm really focusing on getting back in the habit of hydrating! I realized that for months there would be days that I would drink my morning coffee and have NOTHING throughout the day. In the new library we have fancy filtered bottle fillers built into the water fountains, so I treated myself to a new water bottle and am going to town. I clearly need ANOTHER water bottle like I need a hole in the head, but if a $7 Homegoods buy is what it takes to get me back in the habit - so be it!

Also guys, this popped up in my FB memories today and it basically felt like an out of body experience! I barely recognize myself in that girl (especially with straight hair, but that's another thing entirely).

Right?! This was freshman year of college, so I was 18 - 17 years ago!

Daisy that's terrible!! I know the routine though, in college I drove a car that didn't have heat/defrost (I couldn't afford to fix it) so I either had to stop along my route to scrape my windows periodically, or drive with my head out the window too. I hope you're able to get the wiper replaced soon!
I got ahead of my migraine yesterday so didn't get a full-blown ordeal, but I do have a weird post-migraine groggy head this morning and I feel like I didn't even sleep. I hope coffee will help.
qotd: I played softball and volleyball through middle school and high school, and intermural softball my first year of college
breakfast: Greek L&F, then coffee with Premier at work
lunch: I didn't check the menu yesterday, so if it's not a good protein choice, I'll do a salad with diced chicken breast
dinner: on my own tonight and I'll see how I feel, but I might just be looking at a tuna packet and maybe cottage cheese.

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Wow Daisy, what an ordeal! I'm so sorry.
QOTD: I was not athletic, but I rode my horse a lot and did take gymnastics and diving although I didn't go very far in either of those.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 95, Calories 1,268, Carbs - 190.
Today I have to drive 3 hours to my 3-year check up with my gastric bypass surgeon. I can't believe it's been (almost) 3 years already. I dread that long drive for a 10 minute appointment and then the 3 hour drive back home and especially driving in the big city. But after this appointment I only have to go once a year.
