I'm 18 months post-op and have been weight stable for about 6 months. The last several weeks, though, I have had abdominal bloating. My waist size is up almost 3 inches. I have not gained any weight and haven't had any issues with gas or constipation. Any idea what's going on?

My first thought would be carbs, but there are several medical reasons for midriff bloating, so if cutting carbs doesnt help in a day or so, a visit to your Primary is in order.

Are you eating or drinking any of the following? They cause me to bloat:

dairy

carbonated drinks

soy

too many carbs

I am 15 years out from surgery, and I have to stay away from dairy (developed a dairy allergy after surgery), gluten, and sugar. As long as I stick with meat and veggies and some fruits and stay away from simple processed carbs and foods, my tummy doesn't hurt or bloat.
