What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Mornin' All -
went out to dinner last night with friends. I haven't done that for at least three weeks because of my holiday weight gain (which is almost gone now). Of course I was up 1.6 lbs this morning, which I know is mostly (maybe all?) water, but I'm just sick about it. I'm sure it'll be gone in a day or two, but ....ugh. I had another invitation to meet some other friends for dinner tonight, but I turned it down. Twice is too much eating out for one week (at least for me) - plus one of them can't meet until after 7:00, which makes it too much of a risk that I'll overdo it. I can't wait that long to eat dinner. Plus we have a trout filet in the fridge that is going to rot if we don't eat it soon. So - we'll be staying home and eating trout tonight!
it's freezing here, too - in fact, this whole upcoming week is supposedly to be horrible. Not much in the way of snow, but lots of sub-zero temps. The only thing I have this weekend is a basketball game on Sunday. Next week isn't too busy except for Thursday, when I'm pretty much busy all day - and the temp isn't supposed to get above zero all day.
QOTD: my mother's parking habits drive me insane. She has a handicapped permit because she has hip issues, which is fine. But I hate it when she heads right for the handicapped space when there are lots of spaces available, sometimes even right next to the handicapped space. If the parking lot is full and that space is the only one close enough to the building for her, then fine. But when the parking lot is half empty - and esp when there's an empty space right next to the handicapped space, then not fine. I keep asking her what if the parking lot fills when she's in the building, and someone in a wheelchair pulls up and needs to park? I've brought this up with her hundreds of times, but she STILL gravitates right to the handicapped space, regardless of how many spaces are available in the parking lot. This drives me out of my mind!!! It's to the point where I can't stand going anywhere with her if she's the one who's going to be driving (which is another issue - I think she probably shouldn't be driving anymore, either....)
3 years 7 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with raspberries, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: 2 oz chicken breast on a Flat Out wrap (with 2 T hummus), grapes
AS: L&F yogurt (maybe with 1/2 C oatmeal - I've fallen in love with oatmeal - I'll even eat it cold with some light yogurt)
D: trout and vegetables
I had one for a year or so after I blew out my hip - and then one in the winter months only for a couple of years after that. I didn't need the curb cuts, though. I tried not to park in them unless I didn't really have other options, though, because I was afraid someone in a wheelchair might need it.

This! My mom is disabled, never uses a wheel chair. Sometimes she uses a cane, some times she doesn?t but she always needs the handicap spot. Just because you don?t see something obvious like. Wheelchair doesn?t mean they aren't entitled to the spot. If you have the tag, use the spot.
now people without the tag using the spot? Not acceptable and i will have a heated conversation on that.

QOTD: I think the list is long but one that gets me is someone walking through a parking lot down the middle of the isle making it impossible for anyone to drive past them.

Wearing two of my shirts I got for my birthday that I had asked for.
Love the shirts Kelly! My hubby has a talent for finding things like that for me. For my birthday he got me I Love My Rescue socks,a necklace that says Say No to Puppy Mills(in honor of Miss Lily) and a hoodie that has a picture of a boxer and says Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman with a boxer. I don't know where he finds them online but he has a knack. I loved Poky Little Puppy--even more than the boys did when they were little and I read it to them.
Aaaw, Clifford was one of my favorite characters when kids were little. Loved his adventures.
