Oh I definitely over froze it then...round two tonight!

btw, I am really liking the creme brûlée - 1 teaspoon of thin mint or eggnog protein powder or a little pb2 and it's like a whole new treat! I hope they keep it for awhile!

QOTD - Quite the opposite, my boss takes too many things upon himself, he will be retiring in a couple of years, so I feel he needs to ensure there is a transfer of knowledge. I get it though, I am the same way.

Good Morning everyone,

I'm glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today Daisy. I hope it continues. I've heard that acupuncture really can help with that kind of thing. I bet the stress of having those new committees aren't help though :/

QOTD: This doesn't really apply for the type of work I do, but I think in general, managers do rely more heavily on the workers they know will do the work well. I think a lot of time it's taking the easy way out. It is easier to give the task to someone consistent (again) than it is to train the employees who aren't up to par or even consider if those employees are actually a good fit.

Accountability: I ate 1 grape that I wasn't planning on eating. I'll call that a win lol

Good Morning

Changing up routine and going to try green smoothie in AM and move my oatmeal to second breakfast. Maybe then I can do the whole eat when you get up thing.

Training for the sales job and trying to stay focused with this work from home gig...ack! So easy to get distracted.

  • Coffee and Fairlife
  • green smoothie
  • oatmeal with protein
  • cheesey veggie low carb pasta bake
  • eggroll in a bowl
  • S: turkey, protein, kiwi (snacks always optional)

Good morning! Not much going on today except my work schedule shifted back to 8-4:30, which means I likely won't go to the gym in the mornings anymore. I just don't have the willpower to get up as early as it would take to go AND shower and get ready for work and then drive there during rush hour. So last night I went after supper (I waited for supper to settle of course) and that was OK, but definitely a struggle to go back out into the cold once I've come home. But it was less busy at the gym in the evening than it would be to go right after work with everyone else. Sigh. I had such a good routine before starting this new job! It's my only gripe so far.

Qotd: I haven't been at my current job long enough to know what type of boss I have. She seems nice but I'm still technically in training so she doesn't have much she can give me. At my previous job I was a trainer and subject matter expert in a particular line of business, but I was also still supposed to hit my regular metrics as if I didn't do those extra things for 60% of my day.

Breakfast: cheddar brat, coffee at work

lunch: menu wasn't up yesterday so I didn't get to look. Yesterday's lunch ended up being pork loin and roasted balsamic Brussels sprouts.

Dinner: on my own tonight, might just have tuna salad on spinach.

Hey Writergirl, I am just curious and this is just for me, but have you forgotten to update your ticker where your current weight is still 250 lbs? Have you lost anymore weight since your last update or has your weight loss stopped at 250lbs?
I personally rely a lot on what it states in people tickers to see where they started, where they are currently and did they get to goal or not and to see how they are doing. Its a good way to get to know someone without knowing them, make sense?

Hello Daisy! I'd updated my ticker but not my signature. I'm currently at 245, and really struggling to move the scale for the last two months. I tend to stall for really long lengths of time and then drop 5 lbs in a week. It's super frustrating and I was hoping to be much further along by now.

I have lost another pants size in this time though, so I'm trying to look at the bright side.

QOTD: I'm not a boss- but hopefully soon I will be - fingers crossed- i am a project manager and feel I'm very fair in that arena.

Weight back down a bit today but still higher than I want it to be.

So- I left last evening to go to the gym. My road outside my house is one way and there was a car coming down so I backed into some gravel on the side. When the car passed, I GOT STuCK!!! My wheels in the truck were just spinning. So had to call roadside assistance and get a tow back onto the road! I was so pissed off. I DID leave and go to the gym after even though I didn't want to and had a good workout. and what is up with all the guys only lifting weights? I was the only girl over there.

I drove into the office today. Have a lunch with a colleague today for a catch up.

Food plan:

greek yogurt plain with splenda and swiss miss no sugar added powder (only a little)

coffee

coffee

water

turkey breast 4 oz

lunch is TBD

dinner probably will be prot pancakes cause they are yummy

Yea I know what you mean about weights. I think some women are afraid of getting too bulky (not thinking, obviously, that you can control the amount of weight you lift and back off if you feel you're getting too bulky - and also, that most of us don't have enough testosterone to bulk up much in the first place!). But some exercises do seem to attract one gender or the other. For example - yoga - or water aerobics - or Pilates - or Zumba (or other cardio dancing things). I do all of those. Often there are just a couple of men - if there are any at all!
