Good morning! We are back in the cold Northeast, but I am enjoying the fireplace and my coffee with Justice and Lavender this morning. They took up as if we never left: Interested in each other but no fear or chasing as we had in the first day or two after Lavender first arrived.
Thank you all for the good travel wishes. They worked!
QOTD: Good one! I think singing even though my singing voice stinks. But at this point in life I don't care. And I think I'd get too hot in a Santa suit.
Accountability: Not great yesterday due to eating late and drinking some wine with DS. Tis the start of the season... I will stay on plan on all meals that I can!!!!
2 Years 8 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years)

On my way out early, but determined to make my post!
QOTD: I would choose the santa suit, if it was not too hot. No one would enjoy my singing!
B - packed a meat/egg/veg plate for breakfast.
L - Chicken salad with almond 'bread'
D - Beef stew w/ greens
S - hard boiled egg or cheese?

QOTD: If you said just wearing a Santa Hat I am all in! A suit might get annoying. So my choice would be singing.
Yesterday I had to get up at 5 AM and do a 4.5 hr round trip to NYC for something, actually playing chauffeur for a friend.... I wanted to go to bed at 7:15 but instead started cooking and by default included eating. Had a run in with bacon and SF pumpkin custard. Bolognese sauce was also made which I need to figure out what I want to do with it today. Maybe lasagna.
Forgot to reset my alarm so I was up at 5am today too. :/
B: overnight oats and protein, Fairlife latte, pumpkin custard
L: Greek salad w/chicken
D: chicken and veggies tbd
S: yogurt, protein, apple
ex: gym

Jen
morning everyone!
I finally finished the last portrait I had on my list last night. it didn't turn out as great as the previous one, but this person wanted a smaller one and I am definitely better at working on a large scale, especially since I like to use chalk pastels and they tend to make bulkier marks...so the fine details are difficult to achieve. I do have pastel pencils for that, but the consistency of them is not as soft so they do not always blend as well or get as deep pigmentation as the pastel sticks do. Oh well...I am sure she will still like it.
I am hoping to get to hobby lobby after work today to get a mat and frame for it so I can give it to her tomorrow!
tonight I am going to try to paint the doll cradle for Story. not sure exactly how yet...I was considering spray paint but I don't really have a good place to do it since it's supposed to be rainy all day/night and there is NO light outside my house for me to use...last time I sprayed something in the basement I almost asphyxiated us all and the fumes lasted ALL night...so that is not really an option...thinking I might do a light chalk paint and distress it...I think that would be cute. I just need to buy some latex paint...probably can get that at Hobby lobby tonight too.
I have one more promised project to complete before christmas eve and that is my Niece's first birthday Chalkboard sign (I do these for all my neices/nephews birthdays)--just a little milestone type sign, but they turn out super cute. I also really need to finish wrapping presents! there are about 20 more boxes still waiting to be wrapped.
QOTD: I do love singing but jingle bells is not my favorite LOL...I would probably opt for the santa suit...I'd jazz it up with some bling and feathers though LOL
B: Coffee w/half vanilla PP / 1/2 C cottage cheese, 1 turkey breakfast sausage patty
L: lunch meeting today at work- I ordered a grilled chicken breast salad--was the only non-carby option on the menu really...not super exciting but it'll do.
S: light string cheese
D: no Idea...probably will end up being either leftovers of something or some lunchmeat and cheese rolls. it feels like a lazy dinner day
here's the portrait I just finished...not my best work but it's done!
