Rob was just talking about Die Hard, lol! I've already watched Love Actually, but I will probably watch it again! We have a ton we watch every year. I love the oldies, the kid classics and some of the more modern silly ones. It's quite a long list. I save It's a wonderful Life for Christmas eve though - that is a must! Enjoys your must see's!!

Good afternoon,

I have the next three days off from work but not for doing something happy. I have a colonoscopy on Wednesday morning and I have to prep for two days. My menu will consist of premier clear protein drink, jello and broth. The cat or her cat food might look appetizing by tomorrow.

Qotd I didn't have much to buy for Christmas. I got my last present Saturday. I did buy myself some stuff that were on sale. Don't planned to buy anything else for awhile.

Have a good day

Mondays are kinda weird for me. I do WW (was weigh watchers) and weigh at 5:30. So I end up not snacking in the afternoon cuz I know I'm going to weigh, taking a protein coffee to tide me over and then eating when I get home from the meeting. Makes my tummy feel kinda wonkers.

So breakfast: Dannon's light and fit Strawberry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt

Lunch: Brussell Sprouts, Mashed Cauliflower, Morningstar Chik n' nuggets

Snack: Detour Simple Bar, Iced Coffee with Premier Protein

Supper: Chicken thigh (2 oz), Cannelini Beans, Asparagus

Snack: Decaff coffee drink with collagen, probably another coffee without collagen (12 calories)

Jack's Links Turkey Jerky

We are winding down in Florida before the holiday, but had a great day at the beach and a beachfront restaurant yesterday. Today I did most of the house cleaning and right now they are doing the template for the granite countertops to be installed in early January. Tonight is the decorated golf cart Christmas parade in our park (all decorated with lights). We fly back to Massachusetts on Wednesday morning. I sure hope the flight is on time because I have a hair appointment at 4 and if I miss it I can't get it done until after Christmas and it REALLY needs to be cut and highlighted. We are looking forward to seeing the kids and also having at least some cool weather and fires in the fireplace to go with the Christmas decorations!

QOTD: Shopping is essentially done - easy with grown children and no grandchildren. I just have to finish stocking stuff but I more or less have a plan (gift cards with lots of tissue paper wrapping to fill the stocking). Two of my kids are receiving trips to Florida to visit us and the one who lives in Florida is receiving money towards a very artistic salad bowl. I did a couple of handmade jewelry pieces for my SILs. DH is getting a stationary bike and a water fountain for just outside our lanai here in Florida. DH already gave me a Dyson V8 vac and a Simple Human stainless waste basket for the kitchen. How can I be so happy with those things??? Anyway, the days of DH even understanding much about Christmas are essentially gone so no more nice jewelry gifts as in the past

Accountability: I enjoyed my food and some wine this weekend. Time to eat on plan until the next round of holiday events.

2 Years 8 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: deli chicken and cottage cheese

D: shrimp cake and cole slaw

S: homemade cottage cheese

Happy Monday!

It is actually Tuesday morning here for me and on the second cup of coffee:-)

I haven't been on as often due to house/work/parents visiting/life interruptions. I definitely need to make the menu thread more of a necessity as I tend to need the accountability.

QOTD: all shopping is pretty much done here as we are headed to the North Island for the holidays... Looking forward to beaching and snorkeling in the sun-tropics with my mom and dad.

Menu:

B: black coffee (decaf), protein pudding with a sprinkle of higher protein granola

MT: sugar free hot chocolate

L: poached egg with bacon, spinach, cheese, on a potato rosti (ate a quarter of the rosti), decaf cappuccino (no sugars), and a bite of my son's cookie (at an awesome little cafe on the way down to Dunedin!)

AT: carbless crunch bar (we were out at the Albatross Colony and I wasn't keen for any of the food)

D: protein shake (too tired to cook)

Randoms: couple of pieces of Ocho SF chocolate, that bite of my son's cookie, and the rosti were my biggest offenses yesterday

Hydration was best yet! Walked a lot yesterday checking out the albatross and other parts of Dunedin with my parents. Need to get back to the gym again and hike more.

have fun everyone and stay as well as possible!

Cheers,

mathea

Have fun,
