What's on you Sunday menu, RNY'ers?

Good morning~ I have 10+/- minutes before my computer is going to restart - like it or not - so I have to be quick today! We are headed to the park this morning - I love going, our park is so pretty and has all these different microclimates it's really cool. After that - I will attempt to bake some more. I am so over it. A whole batch of cookies came out awful - I don't know why but they all went in the trash. I used a new cookie recipe (dumb) and ghirardelli white peppermint chips instead of regular white chips and crushed peppermint candy and I will never do that again. Debating what to do today. I made bark and other cookies and little mini muffin candy cups that turned out great. I really want to make a couple more batches of cookies today to bring to work tomorrow and give some to my neighbors.
Ugh 4 minute warning!
Accountability - Lots BLT's were had yesterday but I didn't eat all the food on my plan. I'm up 3 # today, seriously.

I'm going to make peppermint bark this week, too. Dromedary Date Nut bread mix used to be widely available and absolutely fantastic - delish and beyond easy to make. I don't understand why it's no longer available - it really was good. I like to bake at times too, but this year, quicker and simpler is better for me. I hope that Christmastime next year will be more relaxed.

For some reason I am going overboard this year...possibly/partially to parlee this into an excuse to finally buy a Kitchen Aid? Apparently I'm the only one in the free world who doesn't already have one! I burned out my hand mixer - it smelled funny on the last couple of batches.
I can't imagine baking for a living - I am so over it right now! I think at the quantity/pace I'm going it's killing my buzz. It will be more fun with my son next weekend!
I hope you are able to find your mix - have you tried online? Date nut bread is yummy! I'm hoping next year will be more relaxed for you as well!!

Morning I cut my run short this morning, it was just to wet/rainy/windy to go the distance. I'm happily dry and warm in my house. My son and I just made baked donuts and brownies. The donuts are are yummy! Dunkin ain't got nothing on us.
Personally I like matching bedroom furtniture- so I'll always buy a bedroom set. Our set as old as the kids, and only my showing minor signs of wear and tear.
I want to see the movie Marwen- maybe over the days off I have for the holiday.

Good morning! Late lazy morning for me, though I really should go to the gym today. I've skipped all week just adjusting to a new routine and I no longer drive past my gym on my way home, so still working out what my new normal will be. I think besides that I'll just throw some cheesy Christmas movies on and wrap gifts today and pick up the house.
menu: only just now eating breakfast of a ham, cheese, onion, and spinach omelette, but my eyes were bigger than my pouch, so I'll fini**** in a few hours as an afternoon snack. Dinner is what I had planned yesterday (meatballs, marinara, edemame pasta) since our plans changed and I ended up eating a McDonald's chicken sandwich without a bun instead.

Finally the scale moved down .7 lbs. So it's all good, I'm at 99.3 lbs down from 1/23/18 so I feel good about it.
Yesterday I started shredding all of the paper I've accumulated for quite a while. I did 3 grocery bags full and then the shredder died. So I ended up burning the rest in my fire pit, not the best idea as my hair and clothes had that campfire aroma. At least it's done and I can see my furniture again, and walk around my office. I also purged all of my work files and recycled 4+ grocery bags of paper. My recycle bin is almost full for the week. I was so focused I didn't realize I didn't eat from 8AM until 4PM, and was too busy to get any water down. Let's face it I am not an organized person, clutter seems to just overflow my house. I can only keep areas cleared for short periods of time. But I'll keep working on it.
I have 2 desks, one with my work computer set up and the other with my laptop. I finally shut off the laptop and am thinking of dismantling the computer, and removing the monitor so I can use the area for something besides a computer. Maybe pull out my watercolors and work on a painting. I have no talent I just do it for pleasure. Nothing like Artchikk who is really talented.
No therapy session at the barn today, my BFF is too far behind on Christmas prep. So I will try to keep myself busy, hit the treadmill before the game. I signed up for tanning again this time from Palm Beach Tan, not sure how long I'll keep it, I know it's not great for the skin but it makes me feel good. It is one of the only times I feel truly warm, and I pretend I'm in Maui. I need the light therapy living in gray and cloudy Oregon.
Take care everyone, and have a great Sunday!

Good for you Julia for tackling the paper buildup! I understand and have in the past struggled with it too. My place here is too small to let it build up - I'd be buried in no time, but given enough room i have definitely been less attentive. Also, yay for the scale movement!
