Think about if in 30 years, Story could only make you a present instead of spending a bunch of money on a present. I bet you would love and appreciate the thought and effort more than you would appreciate something from a store. Don't beat yourself up about it - the point of Christmas is definitely not to go into debt over buying presents...it's about loving your family and spending quality time together (if you can) and letting them know you love them! I am sure your parents do not expect or want some high dollar item from you - I bet they just want you healthy and happy. I know a sappy card from the kids means more to me than an Apple watch would

absolutely, I realize now, as a parent, that the hand made gifts are far superior to anything I could buy. I still can't help feeling like I wi**** was more though!

Good morning~ JB sorry you're having a terrible time at work and can only imagine how stressed you must be right now. Hopefully your winter break is a light at the end of this tunnel! After failed labor negotiations here, we are striking this week - a rolling strike and we will be on the picket lines one day this week - split between over 1000 employees who are participating. Cool and crazy and of course we don't get paid which is another financial hit to take this season on my already tapped situation. Anyway - I'm proud to be a part of this stand we are taking to send the message to the powers that be that we are under valued and we deserve better!!

QOTD - Even as I sit here I can't think of anyone I couldn't find something for and since yesterdays post I've come up with a million things to buy for DS!

Accountability - can you see my halo? I was an angel yesterday

Good morning,

Sorry I've been mia lately but getting up early everyday last week caught up to me on Friday and yesterday due to also getting up early on the weekend.

I got up early today because I thought I had an appointment with my counselor but she had called in sick. Didn't find out till I got there. I hate my phone because it doesn't let you know when you have messages and I didn't look either.

Jb that sounds very stressful at work. Hope today is better.

Qotd I usually don't buy presents for family since I usually don't have much money to spend. This year at work, we're doing a secret Santa and it's stressing me out what to buy her. I need one more gift.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D turkey and green bean casserole

S piece of zucchini bread

Have a good day

QOTD- I'm just not good at gift giving, it's really only me and my Mom. She asked me what I wanted and I said vegetable starts for the garden this spring. So that should be easy, but she still hasn't told me what she wants. I've gotten a couple gifts for my friend but he's easy, Fast & Furious movies and a pocke****ch. Last year he wanted game time on World of Warcraft, the game he got me addicted to. I like to play with him, but I've leveled higher than him, but he still knows more than I do.

Woke up with a terrible headache Monday, and spent a sleepless night. So I actually stayed home for a few hours and tried to get some sleep, and then went into the office. I miss ibuprofen...

I'm slowly moving down, I'm almost at the 100lb mark. I'm proud, but there is a part of me that believes I shouldn't have gained the weight to begin with. Not liking my saggy skin, or wrinkled face but I'm not sure there is much I can do about either short of plastic surgery and that definitely isn't in the budget.

Why do we self sabotage? I'm wondering at my own behavior lately and trying to keep myself moving forward, not 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Have a good day everyone!
