AMAW/CAMAW - Day 5
See this picture? That's how I feel regarding the end of our challenge.
Day 5 - I see the light at the end of tunnel, although I gotta admit I'm suffering from diet fatigue.
Tell me something about you that you haven't shared yet with the menu group.
Me: I don't like eating just meat. Fun fact, I was a casual vegetarian before WLS. I never cared much for food anyway and def didn't care for meat. When I went to a couple of the first orientation meetings I figured I gotta change my mindset and I have made my peace with it. But AMAW really tests me because I miss my cauliflower rice, my cheese, my hard boiled egg and above all my protein powders in the coffee.
I usually don't post here on weekends simply because my menu is all over the place and unpredictable, but this weekend I'm sticking around.

Good morning,
Yes,I'm feeling the diet fatigue too. But tomorrow is my craft day at church so it's going to be a challenge of the goodies people bring in. I'm going to make my keto lasagna which is hamburger, spaghetti sauce, egg, cottage cheese and Parmesan and mozzarella cheese so I have something to eat tomorrow.
I broke my hip when I was six years old. I was born with a birth defect in my hip socket from being premature baby. I was in a body cast for awhile before surgery. They shaved my thigh bone and packed it in the socket area so like a bone transplant. I was on crutches for the whole summer. I was in the body cast for my birthday also. After I learned how to use the crutches, I was a speed demon. I played hide and go seek with the neighbor kids. My mom was always afraid I was going to fall and break my hip again.

Kids are resilient. We adapt as long as we don't know otherwise. I feel the older we get the more we know so we understand our limitations. While kids don't see the limitations and just go for it.

I'm definitely feeling diet fatigue and I think it's the cruddy weather we've been having. I want to make comfort soups, which I do keep low carb, but they do involve veggies. Like you, I would never be able to do AMAW 24/7 through my weight loss like I know some people are able to do. I need the variety that veggies and "critter" add, though I'm completely fine eating low carb.
I legit can't think of anything that I haven't shared with the menu group lol.

I posted here hours ago but perhaps didn't hit send before I closed the window - I don't know, but it didn't show up, so here goes again!
I'm down 1/2 pound to 135.0 as of this morning, and happy to be here! I'm doing fine this week. AMAW is a tough road to hoe, but it's great as a carb detox/reset and as a way to blast out of a stall! I'm glad we have it in our toolkit.
I agree with our list member who commented that eggs should be part of AMAW.
I'm 17.5 months post-op. Looking back, in the last 4 weeks I've dropped 13.8 pounds! Our last AMAW helped. The month before I was almost completely stalled, only dropping 1.5 pounds! The takeaway is this: Persist, and Ye Shall Conquer!

Onward and downward, my friends!
You are always the queen of weight loss, no matter how your evening goes.
