Mornin'!

I'm hoping to meet up with my mother this morning for coffee, but she hasn't texted me back yet, so who knows. I don't want her to feel like I'm ignoring her - I've just been super busy the last couple of weeks. Lunch with a friend at one of our favorite authentic Mexican places. Then a hockey game tonight with another friend who managed to get some free tickets. Not much over the weekend, which is fine because I have a lot of little things I've been needing to do...

QOTD: I tend to be kind of a planned person - at least for most things. I HATE it when I have something planned out very carefully, and I have taken every step to assure something will happen, and then someone screws it up. For example, one of my cats is out of his med. It's in this transdermal cream that comes in a pen-like thing that you use to apply it (to his ear). It's really super hard to tell when you're running out - until you've actually run out. We ran out on Wednesday night. It's probably fine if he skips a day, but he'll be needing it tonight (Friday) or he'll go into withdrawal. The compounding pharmacy we get it from wants 48 hours to fill a prescription, but I was out of refills, so my vet had to approve a new prescription. It was, of course, after hours. So I called the pharmacy and left a message that I really needed a prescription filled by late Friday afternoon, and that my vet's office was going to call in the morning to authorize it - and to go ahead and pu**** through whenever they heard from the vet. I told them I wouldn't have access to a phone most of the day, so just go ahead and process it whenever the authorization came through. So I get home late last night and have a message from the pharmacy. "We had a call from your vet about refilling this prescription. Do you want us to go ahead and process it?". OMG. I about had a freaking meltdown. Now it's less than 24 hours, and they're closed, which means I won't be able to talk to someone there until this morning. I called and left two voicemails about the fact that I'd left them a message on Wednesday night letting them know I desperately needed this prescription and to pu**** through once the vet's authorization came through. Now it's way less than 24 hours, let alone 48, and they're closed on Sundays. Which means Monday. I said (on their voice mail last night) that since I did leave a message 48 hours before, I hope they will honor that and have it ready for me by the end of the day today. It was very clear I was LIVID. I'll call again this morning in case they haven't checked their messages - hopefully I can keep calm. I'm fuming about this just writing about it!

I hope the pharmacy gets you the meds today. I would be livid as well.
