cod fish
I never actually puréed anything... ugh. I mashed or ate things naturally soft like yogurt. My doc said I could have soft fish if I could mash with a fork.

jello has become my addiction. I eat so much of it all day and it goes right through me. I can eat the whole bowl and eat another in two hours. I was weird about that at first but not anymore. If it doesnt hurt after i have it, I assume i'm ok.

Well you still need to be careful... your nerves were cut during surgery and you are early out, so you won't feel everything. Jello might not do damage but if you use that mindset with other foods they might.
I am concerned that you are eating so much jello, part of this process is changing your habits and mindsets... eating bowls of anything is a bad habit to get into...

I eat the 4 ounce package jello. Food doesn't sit well with me most of the time but that's why I'm searching for options because I need to get more protein in. And eating mash everyday does get boring, I'm sorry if that makes people think I have a bad mindset (I don't) but its the truth, I get bored with eating the same thing everyday, all day. I just added one egg for breakfast and lunch to the mix as well as pickles (inside only). I go to the doctor today and hopefully they will change my diet again. I'm down 24lbs in three weeks, this is the first time in a long time that I'm dropping weight like this so trust me I won't do anything to ruin that for myself.

I knew you were referring to the 4 oz package jello. Yes the beginning is rough. Food doesn't sit well. We have all been there.
This is where you just put one foot in front of the other and do what you need to do.
I won't say more because Kat said it well.
We all know this is hard.

I'm also just seeing your weight loss, congrats. I was just looking at the before and after- wow!
Do you think they will change my diet today? I did one week of liquids and two weeks of puree. Yesterday makes three weeks since surgery. I'd love some protein shakes right now!
Do you remember more or less how your first month went?

Every program is different so it's hard to say what your dr will do but if I can encourage you to be as open with them regarding what you are eating, your feelings around where you are right now from a boredom/variety/etc perspective, I would like to do that.
I'm relatively new to this so not an expert at all but very aware of the head aspects that we need to address now vs later. I spend a lot of time working through head/mouth hunger and that's been a constant since the beginning. I think you may having some of that as well.
Good luck with your appointment today!

I can agree with you. I'm working on all the important things and bad habits but I need to have more options. I'm very picky with what I eat, I'm trying to force veggies as much as I can but I throw them up, I was never a veggie person, I don't eat fish except for cod fish. I do eat crab legs but with butter so that defeats the purpose.
I just need like three or four meals I can rotate between so I'm not always eating the same thing everyday for every meal and I will be ok.

Have you tried looking at http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ ? There are tons of recipes for newly post-op to maintenance.
If you like cod fish then you would like Haddock, Pollack, and flounder/sole. All of the those fishes are almost identical to cod. As a matter of fact flounder/sole is a very soft fish when cooked and has an even milder taste than cod.
I wouldn't even attempt to eat veggies at this point. You really need to focus on protein. Why your nut is against protein shakes is beyond me and personally I think it is very wrong of her to say not to have them. I started protein shakes in the hospital and used them for a few months.
Also, real butter isn't going to defeat the purpose. Many of us use real butter and full fat cheeses. Of course watch the calories especially when you are further out.
Thank you so much for this, I'm going to the link right now.
As for the protein shakes, I asked her again on Wednesday when I went to see her and she still said no. I'm just going to drink them anyway. It's probably the only way I'm going to get full protein in. I can meat more things now but I like the shakes and I can drink them throughout the day without an issue.
I know many people are telling me to switch my nutritionist but it's not so simple. It's a team I go to, the surgeons (that performed my surgery), the nutritionist and the registered nurse. I see all of them each time I go now. I don't know if everyone else does this but this is how it's done with the place that performed my surgery. I have 24 hour a day emergency service if needed and my surgeons are always on call.
I'm having some crab legs then. They are high in protein, high in omega 3, soft texture and I love them.
