9 Months Post Op! What's the average weight loss?
So it's now been 9 months since my surgery day and I've lost 122 lbs as of this morning. It's been such a whirlwind. 9 months ago, I had absolutely no idea what a different lifestyle that I would be living.
However, I often wonder if I'm doing all I can. Is my weight loss the same as everyone else's? Am I doing enough? Can anyone tell me where they were at when they were 9 months out?
Im grateful for any advice given
I've read that it depends on your starting weight and how tall you are... that being said, I'll be 9 months out in a few days and I am down just over 90 pounds. I think 122 pounds is awesome! You are doing great!
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Enter your stats HERE in the OH Post-Op planner to get an idea of an average loss for someone your size. The average seems to be about 50% excess weight lost by the six month mark.
It sounds like you are doing well, but don't get complacent if you want to reach your goal.

It varies from person to person. I've lost 120 in 11 months and sometimes still can't believe how much I've lost. You are doing great. Just let your pouch be your guide, eat healthy food, weigh and measure what you eat, faithfully record what you eat, exercise and avoid junk food. Your new tummy is worthy of the best treatment.
I'm almost 8 months out and I've lost 93. However, I had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed and went into menopause and stalled afterwards. I'm almost 49...and I think a lot of it has to do with age as well as all the other things folks have mentioned.
