What's on Your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Cassie and Menu Family!
Thank you so much to everyone for your concern and care about Saralisa. She is still in a lot of pain and vomiting but at least now she has some strong pain meds she can take. The doctor is calling a surgeon on Tuesday.
Thanks for starting us off, Cassie! I LOVE your library design!
QOTD: Okay, money no issue, dreaming big - I'd build a huge room with a nice sized, indoor swimming pool with glass walls and ceiling including a tropical plant sun room. I might even have colorful parrots or butterflies flying among the flowering plants and I'd go swimming there every day!
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 80, Calories - 1,318, Carbs - 203.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: Lean Cuisine 160 calorie meal, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: Healthy Choice meal, light & fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, frozen yogurt
E: walking dogs
Have a GREAT day everyone!
~ Karen

Ohhh I love your tropical room idea! If I could have more than one room, I'd definitely include some kind of pool setup and a greenhouse room (maybe together...?) but if I can only have one room I went with the library lol

Mornin' Weekenders!
We're having breakfast with a neighbor (although I already ate, so I'll just have coffee), then I might go visit my friend who broke her femur. She's in the hospital now, but they'll move her to a rehab place on Tuesday. I imagine she'll be there for at least a couple of weeks - maybe 3 or 4 (my mom was there for three weeks when she had hip replacement surgery). Her diabetic cat - who had other issues as well, including kidney problems - died yesterday at the emergency vet clinic. I feel terrible for my friend, but this will make it MUCH easier for me to help out, because her other cat is perfectly healthy. There is no way I could have gone over there twice a day to give the sick cat insulin, plus his subQ fluids, given my surgery restrictions. My husband would have had to have gone with me, and he wouldn't have been able to do it in the morning because he has a really long commute. With this one cat, we can just go over in the evening - or i may even be able to go over by myself. So even though I feel terrible for her, this will be much easier on her friends (she's going to try to round up another friend or two so we can just rotate cat duty).
accountability: I did great yesterday up until the point we went to a movie ("Blindspotting" - I'm now in love with Daveed Diggs, even though I'm married, and I'm old enough to be his mother...). DH ordered his usual large popcorn, and I inhaled a third of it. So I ended up having 1800 kcal yesterday. My maintenance range is 1500-1700, so it wasn't horrible, but still, I've gone over too much the last few days.
QOTD: boy - we're already planning on putting in a screened porch (hopefully with storm windows so we can get a couple more months use of it - as well as not worry about the porch furniture, etc when it rains). I'm not sure what else I'd put in other than that. We only use two rooms in our house, really - there are days we wonder why we ever moved out of our tiny apt! Hopefully we'll use this porch, though. I think we will.
3 years 2 months out:

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein chocolate latte shake
L: maybe turkey slices and a cheese stick
AS: protein pumpkin pie or protein pudding
D: cold seasoned chicken breast slices (from TJ's) and corn on the cob

Good morning~ We had a wonderful time last night at shrimp boil party. OMG it was so delicious - the shrimp was fantastic and I ate about 6+ ounces. I can't believe I was even able t do it (I weighed a similar porton I took home). Anyway it was awesome and I will be having more today. My weight was up this morning though...Today is serious clean and organize day. I have a lot of plans and ideas about how the day will go and pray it actually happens!!
QOTD - I would add on a spa room with an endless pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, pedi chairs, massage tables/chairs...the works. I'd probably never leave.
Accountability - I enjoyed myself yesterday - I had the most fabulous brie - probably 1 1/2 ounces I didn't plan for and a few more shrimp than I thought I could eat - oh and a piece of sausage. Not the worst, but my weight was up today.

Good morning. Quiet day for me, resting, walking (during non-skunk hours) and sipping. I will probably read so that my wife can watch the US Open on TV.
I started chewable multivitamins and calcium yesterday, they seem fine.
QOTD: Since the libraries and pools are pretty well covered I will say a detached barn with plenty of room for tools, cars and boats.
Still on liquids
Breakfast: Premiere
Lunch: Chicken Broth
Snack: Jello
Dinner: Premiere

Afternoon everyone! My run is done- so is part 2 of yard work. On my run today I found an Apple Watch. The back is broken- but the face is fine. It works- but won't charge since the back is broken. It wasn't password protected, but seems useless since it can't charge. I find the most interesting things on my runs.
So I got a wild hair that I want to do the Disney 1/2 Marathon in February. I'm starting to train now- I'm sure I could do it if I didn't change a thing-- BUT I don't want to be surprised by anything.
qotd: I'd add a second bathroom. We are a one bathroom house and we make it work for the 4 of us- but adding even a 1/2 bath would make life less 'automated'. It would have a shower that sprays from all directions, separate toilet area, and it would bridge to a nice walk in closet.
215 today, 3.4 years out
m1: banana, egg, 2oz ham, cheese stick
m2: baked oatmeal and Greek yogurt
m3: hamburger and/or hotdog
m4: BBQ chicken, kabobs, cob corn.

Morning, RnYers! Happy Sunday!
Still lazing in bed here so I haven't weighed yet, but yesterday's exciting news is that I weighed in at 158! A new 10-pound range is always a thrill! Only 9 pounds to my first goal, only 16 to my second goal, and only 21 pounds to my wiggle-room tentative goal! Though I will see how I feel about those goals when I get there.
I was trying on various things from my closet yesterday and scrutinizing my body. Wow, where did my booty go? It has disappeared. I'm not particularly happy about that. Plus my legs have changed shape - they are absolutely now skinny jeans legs, and my hips are proportionally narrower. Not just narrower, but the actual comparative proportions have shrunk. My waist is still distinctly smaller than my hips, but my hips were always visually at least if not in measurements equal in width to my shoulders when viewed from the front, whereas now they seem slightly narrower. It's just bizarre. I think this happened last year when I had to stay up to do physical labor 24/7 for 3.5 days in a row. I was beyond exhausted and my leg muscles had really been ripped to shreds with non-stop bending, lifting, and hauling. I noticed after that that I was able to zip up some boots which had been far too tight earlier, and I just always thought my leg composition altered at that point. Still, it's bizarre at my age to have my legs and hips look thinner than they ever did before at a comparable weight. It doesn't look that bad really, just weirdly different - like someone else's body, rather than my own familiar shape. That booty, though, that needs more of a curve. It definitely needs to be somehow be built back up!
My date was ok, but I won't go out with him again. Nice guy, but overall I just wasn't very attracted. Kind, though, which is important. But I actually kind of expected that the date would end in the friend zone, which it did, and I viewed going anyway as good practice, since I am a very rusty dater. Anyway, he was a nice person, just not for me on a romantic level. But we did get off on one interesting conversational tangent about European and Chinese history, which was enjoyable!
QOTD: I would build a beautiful, huge, light-flooded art studio, with high ceilings and a big stone fireplace, room for at least two oversized easels, a long stone table for encaustic painting and other messy projects, a desk area with storage for watercolors and small oils, and an area for crafty stuff like sewing, as well. A sink, a bathroom, a piano for when I take breaks. A stunning view out the beautiful, tall windows. I so would love a library, too, in a turret! And a dedicated music room for playing music with others, too.
First: tea!
B: chicken & shrimp stirfry
L: a cheese omelette
D: tuna
S: if necessary, plain Greek nonfat yogurt with a little Cinnamon Buns protein powder mixed in
Wishing you all a beautiful Sunday!
