What's on your Thursday Menu RNY'ers?
Good morning menu friends! Lily and I have our 4 miles in and will do at least one more after supper. QOTD being consistant is the key to continued success and that every day is a mental battle with myself to make the right choices. Accountability was fair with no extra bites and not quite 10,000 steps(9211 )steps due to rain and going out of town at the last minute. Post op 5 years 11.75 months and weight at119.8 today. Heres the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese 3 baby carrots D 4 oz taco meat with lettuce, salsa, cheese and sour cream S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day full of conscious choices! Later!
I hope the poison ivy rash is improving!

Oral and topical Benedryl should help some. The moisture of the extra skin certainly does make it harder to dry up rashes. So sorry!

Good morning! Today is going to be a bit cooler, which makes me happy! Air quality is getting better. I still have a sore throat. I am ready for fall and crisp clean air.
Water aerobics went really well yesterday. My stomach muscles are a bit sore today. It was a really nice group of ladies. They were all very welcoming and kind. My plan is to go M-W- F and weight train with cardio on Tues and Thurs.
I feel like my menu is boring, but my body likes it.
QOTD- Being hungry is not an emergency. I am not going to starve.
Bonus QOTD- My commute is 7 miles each way. It's wonderful.
Coffee with Miralax
2 eggs, 1/2 c. cottage cheese
chicken siracha stick at work at 11.
4 oz shredded chicken with salsa
1 c. cabbage with smoked chicken sausage
Lots of water and vitamins always.
Good Morning and it's Friday-eve. Thank you for starting the thread.
QOTD: I have learned that self care is important.
2nd QOTD: My commute is usually less than 20 mins so I don't any clue how people do it.
Accountability: I added a few evening snacks the last few nights.
Time since surgery: 4 years
B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots
S: BBQ Quest chips, carbmaster yogurt and an iced latte bar.
D: Grilled chicken breast on top of TJ spiral carrots with Alfredo sauce, and mozzarella cheese, a spinach salad with Walden Farms ranch and crumbled bacon, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1242 Protein:134 Carbs:94 Fat:41
Have a great one!
G'morning Hillary and menu folks!
Is it Friday yet? What a loooong week it has been and it's not over yet. Too busy for my own good.
QOTD1: I actually look forward to my gym time. It has become a me time instead of a chore. I was like Janet, mostly enjoying the cardio but was also putting up with my trainer for weight strength. But since losing weight I actually look forward to my weight training days.
QOTD2: I used to have a 1 hr each way commute. So I signed up for a gym near work and would go there during lunch hr. WHen I started telecommuting, first two days a week, then 4 and now full time I didn't know what to do with the extra hours. So silly how we get used to everything. Now I balk at a job offer that doesn't give me full time telecommuting.
Accountability: ate a nectarine last night. Wasn't hungry or anything, just wanted a nectarine. It's my favorite fruit and summer is coming to an end and I won't have it any more.
B: protein coffee
L: turkey slices and parm cheese
S: yogurt
D: DD is cooking tonight, so I have no idea. Worst case scenario I'll have a couple of hard boiled eggs.
Have a great Thursday everyone.

Good morning -Yesterday I didn't have time to post though I started to a few times I just never had time to fini**** was a crazy busy day where I didn't have my morning coffee or breakfast and forgot my vitamins. Just a quickie today as I have an appt w/my PCP for skin issues early this morning. I also made an appt with my WL surgeon (who does some WL related PS)for skin consult and it's scheduled for the end of the month. Research on the road to PS continues...
QOTD - I've learned that fat or thin - I'm still the same person inside. Not that I though I would change, but maybe I though I would feel different? Part 2 - I hate my 1 hour each way commute and I find it does stop me from doing more things I want to do... next year I'm moving and won't have to do that anymore, so I will be able to fit in more stuff daily and some that I put off until the weekend cuz, well the long commute...If you want anything bad enough - you make it work, really.
Accountability - great!

b- coffee x3, yogurt
l-Turkey and lite havarti
d-chicken w/spring min and skinnygirl honey dijon
es- yogurt
v/l - on track
Have a great day!!

Mornin' All!
Not feeling so great this morning (and haven't all week - but now I'm having GI distress on top of LBL pain (which is a bit better today, maybe...). DH wants to go out for coffee, but I may pass. We'll be doing a big mailing this afternoon for our civic organization, other than that, not much...
QOTD: Having been a reference librarian for many years, and being one of those people who's always looking things up, I learn new things almost every day. Last night I read up on Stevie Wonder (on the internet). I was curious whatever happened to the daughter he wrote that song about in the early 70s ("Isn't She Lovely?"). Well, her name is Aisha Morris, and she's a singer - she sometimes sings with her father! Mystery solved!
accountability - calories, as usual for this week, have been low due to no appetite, so no problems there! I'm eating enough calories (1000+) and protein (100+) for healing, though.
3 years 2 months out:
B: Siggi with raspberries, 4 oz L&F
MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: ?? probably cottage cheese
AS: protein shake
D: maybe meatballs with zoodles
At about your point I had GI distress from constipation. I was impacted. Boy did I feel better after that was resolved.
