Hi Menu Crew! Happy Monday!

JB, cute photos of your weekend with friends in New England! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!fun

It's a beautiful, romantic day here on the island - not sunny, but soft, misty, and so incredibly green.

I just bought a new scanner. My old one is fine for documents but useless for artwork, so I ordered one that should do the trick. Just before I moved i had a major, hideous computer meltdown and lost around 75% of all of my thousands upon thousands of illustration and artwork files. This is especially problematic when it comes to my labels, as most of those files were vaporized. This happened just as I was in the process of uploading everything to Carbonite, and those files are lost for good. Thank goodness I have at least good hard copies of all of my labels, so I ought to be able to scan everything back into digital format at 600 dpi, and recapture the ones that were destroyed. Hence the new scanner!

QOTD: I love both and thankfully for the past 13 years or so have lived by both the ocean and the mountains. Here on the island i have a lake at the bottom of my backyard, and am surrounded by beautiful blue Puget Sound. But I can see incredible Mount Baker and the Cascades every day when I look to the east, and the Olympic range to the west when I turn around! It is amazing to me that here we are, close to the end of June, and the mountains are still snow-capped. How lucky am I? So beautiful!

Nsv: I had to return a new Talbot's top I had picked up a couple of weeks ago, because it was on sale and I thought it would be nice for later in the year. It was a pretty black velvet top with bell sleeves and a little jeweled ornament. I ordered it in a size Medium but found that it was definitely on the roomy side, and I have 40+ pounds yet to go! So I returned it for a Small. It's the third top I've returned for a smaller size in the last few weeks! Unfortunately, that velvet top is no longer available in any size under a Medium, so I'm out of luck as far as that too is concerned for now. But who knows if one size down would be right in the end, anyway? Vanity sizing run amuck makes it hard to predict. I probably shouldn't be buying things until I'm at goal, so I can size accurately, but I was shopping the sales. Anyway, it was kind of gratifying just the same, considering how far I've come.

First: 38 ounces of tea, with much more to come!

B: ham with smoked gouda melted on top

L: tuna

D: turkey, a laughing cow light Swiss cheese wedge

S: shrimp with a tiny bit of ****tail sauce

Wishing all of you happiness today!

Posting late as I just got hooked up to the internet. We finished our first day of work here in Quincy at Chaddock Children's Home. Spent the day with two other women pulling wallpaper off walls and removing all the glue so we can sand and paint. We're working in a home built in1816 that used to house children but is now office space for therapists who work with these troubled youth. Staff are so appreciative of our help. It feels amazing to even be able to do this as before surgery it wouldn't have been possible. All the couples are really nice and the women have asked lots of questions about my surgery and about what I can eat and not eat.. QOTD I love both! Accountability was great with no extra bites. Heres todays eats after the fact B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz chicken breast with 1/2 c lettuce D 1 c fajita mix S 1 c white cheddar s martpop popcorn. Later!

Great pics!

I'm surrounded by water and mountains. Marine air smells so good.

Greek yogurr with bran flakes

Pork rinds, chicken and zucchini, coffee.

My new favorite drink is diet root beer with a splash of milk. Tastes like a root beer float. I'm always looking for new options.
