What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
So glad to hear tha***** Bitty is improving. Those snakes would creep me out. I'm not afraid of much, but snakes give me the creepy crawlies.

Good morning JB and menu crew, what a fabulous weekend. Now it is cold and raining, we do need the rain though. We are almost done with our summer projects already, making plans to do our first big hike on Sunday, I am excited!
QOTD - HS graduation was good, I was not a great student in HS, it was all about the athletics, teachers even let things slide for me. Not good. My class was either 112 or 121 students, one thing I remember is someone brought liquor and it was being passed around on the stage during the ceremony...LOL.

Good morning! Just reading about your weekend exhausts me! We went for a hike on Saturday afternoon (got eaten alive by bugs), and to an Irish Festival yesterday. The music was great but it was really chilly for a June day.
QOTD: I graduated in a class of about 700, so it was a very quick ceremony other than the reading of the names which took FOREVER!

Good morning! The weekend was pretty awesome. Friday night I went out to see a local band and had a coffee with my wife and oldest daughter. It was fun. Then after we got home, I went to work in the garage until 1 a.m, cleaning and organizing my shop area, boxing up stuff for the yard sale Saturday. I got about 4 hours of sleep and got up to haul out tables and set up. Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with yard sales. My favourite part of them is actually the setup/teardown. I meet all sorts of cool people, but my least favourite part is the offers that are almost offensive, they're so ridiculous. I love a good deal as much as the next guy, but I would never offer $1 for a venetian blind, a DVD holder AND a set of heavy duty bolt cutters. That's just wrong, LOL. The good news is, I'm done hosting yard sales for that reason. If my wife or kids want to have one anymore, I'll happily set up, and tear down but I won't be around for the haggling. We only donated 3 boxes of stuff at the end and made enough to pay for a trip to Canada's Wonderland on June 16th, so I'm happy.
Saturday afternoon, I bought a shed from Home Depot. Sunday after drumming at church, I assembled it with the help of my 8 yr old. She LOVES helping with stuff like this, and did a great job using my tools. I love that! She got a couple of scrapes and bumps but was determined to help me so she walked it off. She's feisty and tough as nails.
Menu: The usual protein bar/coffee breakfast, cottage cheese/veggies for snacks and a shake for lunch. Traveled light this morning.
QOTD: I didn't actually attend my high school grad. They wanted me to pay for my cap/gown rental (which I thought was nonsense). I was an honour roll student with a 96% average, but I hated that place and most people in it at the time, with a fierceness I can't even describe. That's why in football, I hit guys at practice as hard (or harder) than in an actual game. I just wanted out, because it felt more like a prison to be there. I kept to myself when I wasn't playing sports and just studied with my head low. It was an inner-city school, kinda rough and you had to keep an eye out even though it was a small town. My principal found me in the cafeteria playing euchre with the few friends I did have there, and asked why I hadn't picked up my cap/gown. I responded with "I've paid enough, I'll get my diploma in the mail". He was a no-nonsense guy and we chatted later that week. He saw my face around school, knew why I hated it there. He got it and I wasn't the only one like that. He really appreciated my honesty, even if I was in kindof a bad place at the time.
My mom wasn't too pleased with my decision, but understood. I went to my college grad which she loved, and we had a great day.
Good morning :)
I'm loving these cooler nights we have been having... It helps so much with good sleep. Today I have a doctor's appointment -- she is the one following my bariatric blood work and blood sugars. I expect she will say I can just come back in another six weeks as there haven't been any flags this round. Then I'm going to pick up a surprise for DH. He knows there is a surprise coming but not what it is ;)
QOTD: my HS graduation was long and hot... We had a double graduating class because our province changed the curriculum and got rid of what was basically grade 13. So the grade 12s in the new curriculum and grade 13s in the old curriculum all graduated the same year. I think my parents and grandparents attended. I was so happy to be done high school. I had good grades but I didn't love the social aspect.
Post-op three years, two months.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - cabbage rolls stuff
Lunch - leftover chicken wrap
Snack - toast and PB
Dinner - leftover burgers
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
