What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
I agree I'd feel more secure at a hospital. I know problems are rare, but they do happen. Being right there vs being 10 minutes away from an ER could be critical.
I think I'd feel OK about being at a surgery center for more minor surgeries, but a body lift sounds pretty major. And she did say it would last about five hours. That's a long time to be under....
this guy has people spend the night at the hospital, too. I'd definitely feel more secure doing that. Some have you stay over night at the surgery center (with a nurse on duty), or some send you to a rehab place/nursing home for a night or two, which would probably be OK (although not as secure as a hospital), but then a lot just send you home (or back to your hotel) a few hours after your surgery. That makes me a little nervous even though I know a lot of people do just fine with that.
I had my TT in the hospital and stayed overnight. My PS would have done it for less in his clinic, but he recommended the hospital if I was okay with the extra cost. I felt more comfortable having such a lengthy surgery there and staying. I don't regret it because I was not functioning well until the day after.

they are! Plus low calorie. I just cook down a bunch of berries with some SF Torani syrup (usually a fruit-flavored one or Vanilla Cinnamon). Then I add a little powdered cinnamon, too. And sometimes some vanilla extract. If it needs to be thickened, I put in a little cornstarch - or food thickener (available at drug stores) or something like guar gum. Although often blueberries have enough pectin in them that I don't need to - but with other berries, it does often need to be thickened a bit. I make a bunch at a time (maybe six cups?) because it keeps for awhile in the fridge.
Good for you for making the surgery a priority ! I had mine ( lbl arms thighs a bit of tummy and love handle tightening and Lipo ) done at a surgery center but I needed a lot of ( insurance- covered ) recovery after I flew home. It was a low cost option .. but could prove dangerous I took the chance because I?m fundamentally in good shape .
I am an apple shape too - here is what I look like 2 years not exercising 3 or so years post op ... not that shabby . I?m thinking about getting the second round done now - upper body lift bra overhang ... underarm fat cell freezing and dissolving.
LiLposyction made it Much easier to keep excess weight off as did excess skin removal.
