Has anyone heard of Devrom
It has been 4 years after surgery and in the last year all I ever have is non stop gas 24-7. I was sick for a week and hardly ate anything and still had gas. I'm not sure what to do I have tried different gas products at the store. I can't stop it coming out I have no control it just happens boy do I need help. I talked to a friend she said Devrom helped with everything it stopped the gas and if you get cramps and smell. Has anyone tried it?

Hi,
I have Devrom. I bought it because I had lots of problems in the beginning with gas. It kinda works if you take it 3 or 4 times a day with meals. It doesn't stop the gas. It does control the odor somewhat.

The food I eat determine how much and how bad my gas is. Also having a good BM every day is critical. Even if you have not eaten much for a couple of days, what you are a few days before could be still inside you to cause gas.
When my gas gets really bad - it is almost always one if 2 things: I got constipated even having BM every day, or the food I ate caused that.
Food that cause me to have bad gas are beans, high fiber breads, high fiber veggies - like broccoli, cabbage or cauliflower. Beans - I can't eat any without severe gas and pain. My body can't digest that.
Also - any Sugar alcohol- any of them - would cause bad gas.
Eliminating or limiting foods that cause severe gas, or adding digestive enzymes that help to digest those foods can help better than adding Devrom.
Fyi: even eating good for me foods cause gas. But it is not very offensive and easy to control for me.
We can't eliminate gas, we can limit how much and how badly it smells.

I have used it when I couldn't figure out what the culprit was in my diet. And I still have it here for emergencies. I am almost ten years out and the last year for some reason has been the absolute worst for gas.
For me it worked and was worth the money. I was referred to it by someone who had the DS and she uses it religiously.
Depending on how uncomfortable/embarrassed you are it may be worth the try.
Gas is almost always from carbs or sugar alcohols at your time frame.
Eat meat for a week. Just dense protein. Then see where your gas issues are. If it hasn't changed, at least you can eliminate one cause.

Do you happen to use a CPAP machine at night? I have a friend that swears that his breathing machine pumps him full of air at night, then he has gas all day long. May be something to it.
