What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I don't feel like adding a sprinkle of shredded cheddar to an omelette or a slice of cheese to a burger or a 50 calorie light string cheese will hamper much. If I find myself unable to drop weight because I had a few bites of cheese, I'll let you know!

I disagree.
If you stay within your calorie range and keep your carbs low, full fat cheese is JUST FINE!! (the key of course, is logging all of your calorie intake). Plus the fats in cheese will be more satisfying and keep you full longer! If you are doing a low carb diet, full fat items are a must!

You are totally and completely wrong quutgrrl! I would say that you are in a extremely small section of people who eat low fat or no fat products post WLS.
I am 5'5" weight 123 lbs and eat FULL FAT EVERYTHING and have maintained this weight since I got to goal at 9 months post op. The more fat the better! Full fat will not stop your loss, that is a misnomer. CARBS will stop your loss.
Fat = satiated
Fat = regular stools
Fat = healthy hair & nails
To the OP please IGNORE quutgrrl!!!

You literally provide no useful information here. I drink heavy cream in my coffee, I eat cheese with a minimum of 2 of 3 meals per day. I eat whole fat greek yogurt with peanut butter EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I eat mayo, I eat butter, and if I eat veggies I often cook them in bacon fat.
I am 5'7" tall and weigh 127lbs, I have 19% body fat. I could literally lose as much weight as I wanted. I could be model thin. I could be under an 18 BMI - all while EATING ALL THE ******G FAT!
Why? Not because I'm magic. Because science. Science says that eating too many calories makes you stop losing. Not eating too much fat.

You are so wrong! The extra carbs added to low fat cheese will hamper your weight loss far more than any full fat dairy. I have a bmi of 19.6,am 5'6" tall and weigh 122 fully clothed. I lost my weight in 8 months and have maintained this weight for a month short of 5 years eating full fat cheese the whole time. This is after a full lifetime of being obese. Plus I'm 58 years old. Our bodies need some fat and as long as you track calories full fat is just fine.
I've eaten fat throughout my weight loss with zero problems and I'm well below my surgeon's goal. You're totally fine. Fat is necessary for optimal health.

I don't pay attention to fat amount - only protein and overall calories. If the extra fat fits into my daily calorie budget, then it's fine. BUT...I'm almost three years out (18 months in maintenance), if that makes a difference (i.e., my calorie budget may be higher than yours). I do try to eat some fat every day because it keeps me feeling satisfied longer than protein or fiber (which both do the trick as well - but fat lasts even longer)
Good to know. I was getting paranoid because every time I put the cheese in the MFP it gave me the warning "this item is high in fat". It always fits into my caloric intake - under 800 - so I've been eating cheese but I saw somewhere else that we need to be careful with cheese. That's why I asked.
