I refuse to engage in this. If you don't know why giving people advice like this is irresponsible by now, there is no reason why today is the day you will start listening. I give up.

Thank you for your input, I eat a lot of HIGH calorie foods. Chips u name it, I could only imagine what I would weigh with what I eat, had I not had WLS.

The question is why you can't gain weight? why can't you gain weight?

I have SIBO and some food is really horrible for me, but I still can gain weight as long as I eat enough carbs.

I had a problem doing that - and then I found probiotics - Florastor. That really changed my life. I can have food I could only dream about before that. Like pizza and beer.

Now - I can have bought - not good idea. But I was able to gain 10 lbs in 2 months.

Now my problem is to stop gaining. I realized I like pizza and beer way too much.

Try good quality probiotics. I bough mine from Costco. Florastor. Try that.

That and exercise. Exercise makes my appetite to go wild.

I eat nuts and fruits. And I can tolerate them.

Why can't you gain weight?

I eat all of the above but not beer, black Russians lots of carbs, pizza, spaghetti, cream dried beef with 3 pieces of bread, fettuccine alfredo, what can be more fating then those foods, I to will eat things I know I'll get ill from just to have those high calories, n deal with the consequences as well. It really has to be worth it to me to eat the bad stuff lol. Maybe I'm just ment to be this thin. And it so foreign to me. Other then that I feel great. Again thank you I will check into the probiotics.

I don't believe a word of this. No human being can eat like this on a regular basis and not gain weight.

Grim, thanks for your reply, However, I'm a 62 yr old woman & have no reason to lie! Believe me or not it doesn't make or brake my day. These are the foods I have eaten more n more every week to put on some weight. Just isn't working. You have yourself a blessed day.

Hello there EAP-Fan have you thought about just doing nothing. I would say your weight is ideal and neither underweight nor too thin. In fact at your age I would be extremely careful about eating such artificial foods. Those processed foods scream cancer and you must maintain your health for your precious granbaby. Clogged arteries and inflammation in your body may bring on stroke cancer heart attack, and you certainly don't want to add this to your problems.

Please do not try to gain weight, stop it right now please. Oh and you do not say how tall you are. Even if you are 5"10, as long as you don't go under 100 pounds you are fine.

Why did you get an ulcer? Are you a smoker? Do you take NSAIDS?

The only people I can think of who were too thin and truly had trouble gaining had other serious health issues/complications or their surgeon did not know what he was doing and their surgery was botched.
