Lol I remember I had to finally tell DH he needed to go shopping because he looked like he'd been playing dress up in dad's closet. I will probably make a few items stretch as long as I can get away with, but most I'm ok saying good riddance to! Things I wear because they fit, not necessarily because I love them.

Hello!! Still raining and a mushy mess here.

Best defense against sickness: wash, wash, wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and keep your hands away from your face. It is shocking how often we un-knowingly touch our faces with "dirty" hands! I have been an Infection Control Nurse.

QOTD: Wow -- I'm now retired due to illness, but I have found that women can be brutal to each other in the workplace!!! At my last position, I was expected to fly home from a destination wedding because the Feds. showed up for an unplanned inspection. Um...not a chance!!!

Time out 1 year 4+ months

Menu Yesterday completely changed from planned, calories and protein just about the same, carbs up to 32, higher than I like.

B: coffee w/ sf coffeemate, scramble w/ cheese

L: venison stew, meat only

D: Last of the Venison meatloaf

Cal: 755 Prot: 81 Carb: 13

Be kind to each other!!

I'd love to hear about your 'grilled cheese' and how it turned out! (and the recipe if you love it)

I've seen it on FB, but haven't tried it.

SAHM's get NO vacation! But seriously, you need to schedule time away just for yourself, or with some friends... those weekends/evenings away help you stay sane!

YES! You are so right, 'me-time' is very important!!!

I really enjoyed the recipe, it was a good sub for the real thing.

Here's the recipe:
http://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/recipes/a51638/ca uliflower-grilled-cheese-recipe/

I made it exactly as it is, except that since it was just for me I only made 1/4 of the portion.

BACON..... MMMmmmmm

Side story... my daughter has been bringing home the leftover food at the Sonic she works at for the chickens... hot dogs, hamburger buns, etc... yesterday I grabbed the box (she leaves it in the garage) after work and it was filled with.... BACON!!! I about flipped a lid! I told her that for now on, the bacon goes in the fridge for mom, NOT for the chickens. I kid you not, my chickens got like a pound of cooked bacon yesterday!

QOTD: When I was hired for this company we got PTO based on our 'experience' (ie, age)... I tapped out and started with 6 weeks of vacay! It was most awesome... then they broke our division out to it's own company, and my vacay was reduced to 4.5 weeks. Hard to be upset about that, but still... NOW, we were bought out by a company out of Houston and because I haven't hit my 5 year mark, I am spending this year with only 2 weeks of vacay... it's been rough, and I can't wait until September when I will get 3.5 weeks. Luckily I can pretty much take it whenever I want, but now I'm afraid to use it... 2 weeks isn't much when you're used to so much more. (I did have some banked, luckily)

I always love the before and after pics! I think I will look for a 'before' that I've not used here before, and I'll take one this week to use for my after.

Accountability: Good yesterday... stayed on plan, no extra's and even skipped a couple of things on my list.

B: 3.5 ounces of ham and a cheese stick

S: 1 ounce of beef jerky

L: 4 ounces of chicken crack

S: 1 ounce of prosciutto/mozzarella

D: Taking the leftover chicken and making chicken taco meat with it. I'll have that with some avocado/cheese/sour cream, no tortilla

S: Decaf coffee... lots of it!

I didn't take a job I was interested in once because they only offered two weeks of vacation. In my other one (the one I would have been leaving to take the *****y two-week one), I'd worked my way up to four weeks. Four weeks is definitely do-able (I have that now, in fact), but there's no way I'd ever want to go back to two. Ugh...

It's been very hard, and quite honestly full of bitterness towards the new company that bought us... Oh, and add to that, 2 less holidays a year, AND they took our 1/2 day Friday's from us...

The only redeeming note, for me, is that I have a new boss and she is really working hard to get me where I want to be as far as my career with them. She's made that very nice, and I do appreciate her!
