Hi All, Sorry I missed Friday's post. I was so sick and slept in and didn't wake up until 830am. I had a migraine so bad I could not see straight and was sick to my stomach. So thank you JB for filling in, you are awesome! How was all your weekends, I hope they were great.
Accountability: I didn't have a plan this weekend didn't eat much, I just drank fluids to keep that up. So nothing bad to report.
QOTD: If you were a crayon what colour would it be? For me it would be deep Royal Purple. Purple is my fav colour. What's yours?

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
Good morning Daisy,
I haven't been here in 7 months and my 10 lb. regain tells the tale. I thought....I got this....not so much. I need the accountability. So here goes nothing. I was at 143 at my one year surgiversary, but up to 153 at my 18 month follow-up appt. My new bariatric nurse told me " you don't have to meet your goal weight, it about feeling healthy" which has messed with my head and I gain another 5 lbs regain. 15 lb. rain total. Although the statements got in my head, I and only I am responsible for what I put in my mouth an eat. I allowed carbs back in my diet...bagels and bread. No pasta, rice or potatoes because they make me dump; as does sugar and sugar alcohol...etc. I am my own worst enemy and just plain angry with myself. I have lost st 5 lbs. of the total 15 lb. gain already, just by getting back to basics.
This is the only place where I get really good advice.
qotd: If I was a crayon, I would be a harvest orange color. I love that deep pumpkin, harvest color of orange. Probably, because of my love of Autumn.
I haven't figured out my menu today but know it will be all about the protein.

Finding Charlie - Welcome back - I am pretty sure we go to the same program, I have heard the same thing about the weight and being healthy and bought into it. Keep up the good work and continue to be your best advocate.

I love it there! I just feel they focus on the health and not the scale number which is also fine. I have an issue in that I would need to weigh 178 pounds to be consider ideal BMI, so the scale bothers me at times.

I love it there too. I did like my old nurse better though...Karen...she could be tough but some of us need that. Love the dietitian also. I went to one of the monthly group meetings but did not get a lot out of it and there were several people there that had gained back all their weight and that scared me to be honest.

Migraines are the worst. I hope you don't suffer them too often! It is 44 degrees this morning in Florida. We don't expect it here so I have to gear myself up for my daily walk. A down vest and gloves may be needed.
ETA: I have to thank many of you for recommending The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I started watching it yesterday. So funny! I'm hooked already.
QOTD: I'd be some shade of blue or blueish green. I love water colors (and I am a Pisces).
