Life has been crazy and I haven't been on here as much as I used too. I want to post my progress here because no one else understands. 12/26/17 put me 6 months out. It' been a rough road learning how to eat again. I've lost 82.2lbs I wanted to be at 100 lost at 6 months. I think I'm still moving at a good pace only 38 more to go.

That is really amazing, and so well done on your part. This is definitely not easy, and anyone who says it is, is selling a bag of fibs. With only 6 months down and already lost 82.2 lbs that is one hell of an accomplishment. You will reach your goal and you will be even more awesome then you are now.

Congratulate yourself for doing so good now. You got this in the bag, and I'm sure you will hit your goal weight plus some!

Congratulations on your weightloss, you are definitely well on your way to your goal.

If I can give you one oiece of advice ... if you are not a regular here, I hope you are going to a support group.

People who stay plugged in are usually more successful than those who go on to "live their life". It's why you see "strangers" posting about regain or never having reached their goal.

I am eating humble pie here. At one time I felt the Vets were here to only point out ones shortcomings, not provide the support that I thought was needed. I was so wrong. I now realize that the Vets have been through the struggles that the newbies like myself ( 3 years) are now experiencing, the vets realize what works/ does not work and offer that advice and that is why I am back on the boards. The realization that no one in my every day interaction understands. Come to the board or visit a support group, ensure you stay diligent.

For the most part, I have been here almost daily for 13.5 years. I've had rollercoasters in my journey, but I've never given up because coming here reminds me what I'm supposed to do, plus the support of people I've got to know here, really DOES help.

I know that some types of support are not what we want to hear, it's easier to hear sympathy and get a hand pat than to get a kick in the butt, but sometimes, that kick in the butt is exactly what's needed to succeed.

I don't know anyone on here who wants people to fail. Personally, I'd like everyone to get surgery, lose all their weight and never struggle or regain, but statistics tell us otherwise.

Hanging out here, make friends/supporters, listening and importantly, participating are integral in reaching and maintaining long term success.
