Good Morning Everyone,

Finally beginning to warm up here a bit. I thought I do not handle cold well anymore!

Nice to see your face as the OP today! Good morning (barely at this point)!

It's late for me posting today (almost noon). I had insomnia last night so I'm very tired, but I did walk with the neighborhood group this morning.

QOTD: This is super tough, but I guess I would rather lose the pictures for the same reason you mentioned. I have mental images of everything.

1 year, 9 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: ? (Out to dinner - probably fish)

S: cottage cheese and SF jelly

Good afternoon! Late start for me as well. John Grisham and I were together quite late last night.

QOTD: would grab my photo boxes in a heart beat. Then hopefully my friends and family would give me, hubby, and my pics a place to stay, lol.

Hate to have to admit this, but yesterday at church I saw someone that I didn't see b4 Christmas and she gave us a gift-a big box of Pepperidge farms cookies. I was doing so good at the restaurant, no starches, just meat and salad. Then I came home opened up the gift and realized they were cookies. Oh boy, it was Pandora's box of cookies. And I knew I shouldn't be eating them but still did! That's the sucky part. I sure need to get a handle on this b4 WLS. Any advice other than, "stop eating them, already!"?

Today it's back to plan, not sure what exactly, but making wiser choices than yesterday, for heaven's sake.

I just got started on Camino Island. Couldn't stop even though I had to go to work today! Crazy.

got up early and went to a Pilates class this morning. I tried it once or twice when I was SMO and hated it, but it wasn't bad this time. The yoga part of it was easy as I've been doing yoga for 15 years, but those ab exercises were killers - at least some of them. I suppose I'll get used to it. Overall, I liked the class. It was a very chatty group so I suspect most of them have been going for a long time. I like groups like that - it keeps me more accountable because they all wonder where you've been if you miss a few classes (like my Aqua Zumba group does!)

accountability was good yesterday - has been for about a week. Weight was down slightly this morning, although not much. But hopefully this will become a trend...

QOTD: 90% of my pictures I could live without. I have tons of pics of things like vacations that I haven't looked at since I got back from said vacation. There are some old family ones that I'd hate to lose, but I'd rather have the money. I get very stressed out when I don't have a cushion in my account that would get us through for three or four months if one (or both) of us lost our jobs. I lived on the edge when I was a young adult, but I won't do it again. Too scary.

2 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1 T tahini mixed in, fresh raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax vanilla pumpkin latte shake

L: 1 C cottage cheese

S: raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip or 2 T peanut butter on celery sticks

D: probably chili - or else cauliflower cheese soup with some kind of protein

piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie later if I want something else AND have enough calories left over

ex: Pilates

On Friday, the dietician moved me up to 800 - 1,000 calories a day. Wowzers. I never would have thought that was too much food, but it was a rough weekend trying up my calories. 3.5 months post op and here is my menu today, the first day back at work/school!

Breakfast: Jimmy Dean Delights Bacon and Spinach Frittata (1) - 130 calories, followed by lots of coffee until...

Morning Snack: Honey Mustard Double Bites (no fridge at work) - 130 calories, Propel 20 ounces

Lunch: 1 ounce beef jerky, 1 ounce low fat cheese - 180 calories, Propel 20 ounces

Afternoon snack: Had an emergency and didn't make it home for my planned snack, so grabbed a protein cookie at the corner store - 21 grams of protein, but 220 calories!!! It wasn't the best thing I could eat, but there were no eggs or cheese. I need to start carrying lower calorie emergency snacks or keep a shake in my purse.

Dinner: Lemon-pepper scallops - 90 calories, 1/2 cup peas 50 calories, 5 grapes for dessert (much later) 17 calories, No calorie peppermint tea

Total Calories: 833! So full, it's like after Thanksgiving. 72 grams of protein. Still losing, go me!
