Office break room holiday blues EDIT Photo added
Oh my goodness! Could people bring in more candy, cookies, pies, cakes, and tamales!!! Uhg. Am I the only one faced with an onslaught of treats haunting every surface in the break room? I am stunned at how much bad for you food is tied to celebrating the holidays. Was there always this much sugary temptation in years past or do I just notice it more now that I don't eat that junk? Also...is it wrong that I am thinking of making fudge to give as gifts to my co-workers?
~Elizabeth
EDIT: To clarify, I was being intentionally ironic in my suggestion that I might bring fudge. I actually made mini meatloaves. :) I love that my co-workers bake and cook and share and laugh at the holidays. It is delightful to come together and celebrate. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday to you all!

This is 'any given day' at my office, just worse this time of year. I avoid the break room like the plague!!!!

True true...there are commonly snacks and treats in the break room at my work as well but geezum it is madness now. I'm going to eat at my desk...the break room is evil right now. :) Stay strong!

WOW! That is a solid month of temptation. I am grateful it has really only been this week that it has gotten nuts here.

It used to be the donuts that just killed me! What really amazes me is that nurses/nursing stations seem to go all out with the "bad for you" holiday food (I have friends and family members attesting to that)! Stress relief I think...

Right? My kingdom for a fruit tray! A little cheese and meat platter. Deviled eggs even.
Ohhh... ya know what? Maybe that is what I should bring as my gift instead of fudge. Deviled eggs! My co-workers might just love the break from sweet and heck they are way cheaper to make.
