The only cereal I chose to eat is 1/4 cup of fiber1 in my yogurt. I have had a few handfuls of something like honey bunches of oats or Cheerios but that was a slippery slope for me so I just opt not to eat it.

Thanks Emiepie.... You're right about the slippery slope.... I love Cheerios.... I used to make up a bowl and keep adding cereal until all the milk was gone. Doesn't sound like I'm a good candidate for cheerios.... Maybe I'll follow your example and put some high fiber cereal in my yogurt. Thanks for your help. Nance

Hi Menu Peeps :)

I'm a little blah today, and just not interested in anything. I'm feeling a bit depressed, but I'm not sure why. Maybe I'll go hit the tanning bed a couple of times this week and see if that helps.

My Thanksgiving 4-day bender is over! LOL And perhaps another reason I feel so 'depressed', maybe? I didn't eat great, had alcoholic beverages, pumpkin pie, turkey/egg noodles, dressing, carrot cake, and who knows what else. None of it in HUGE servings, mostly BLT's, but still, I felt so bloated and gross... even if my clothes fit fine, I swear when I looked in the mirror my stomach looked just as big as it did prior to WLS... such a mind F*&k.

QOTD: Christmas stresses me out... I don't think I've really enjoyed it for a few years now... don't know what's up with that, but the magic of if all seems to have gone away. Tired of lists of things to buy each person, more like a specific detailed list that gets filled... not like a wish list at all. We're not decorated, and I've not bought a thing. I'd really just like to go out of town for Christmas and go have fun somewhere DOING something, rather than sitting around on the couch ripping open presents that everyone already knows what they're getting... Hmph. Just call me Ms. Scrooge this year. Perhaps this will pass and I'll get excited... just not yet.

Weight this morning 140.6/ Maintenance diet - but I need to go back to basics/ 18 months out

B: 4 ounces of turkey

S: Nothing

L: pinto and cheese with added ground beef from Taco Bell

S: Not sure. I have cottage cheese, pepperoni and cheese sticks in the fridge at work if I need something

D: There are chicken legs defrosted. I want steak.

S: Latte Love - just picked up 4 new bottles of SG Syrup at lunch today.

Hi everyone, happy Monday!

Today I am fasting - only drinking water and tea. Why, you ask? Because tomorrow morning, Oh Lucky Day, I have a colonoscopy scheduled. My first ever. Yuck! Nothing's wrong, I've just avoided it for so long and my PCP encouraged having it done. I scheduled all sorts of overdue tests in order to take advantage of the last bit of great insurance I have this year. So for today, no food or vitamins, and at 5 I will have to swallow a glass of something disgusting, followed by 2 glasses of water. Then I have to repeat that at 2 am. Oh joy!

Hubby just had to take his first dose of the liquid and he has to do another at 6p, both with lots of water after. I hope your testing goes well
