What's on your PHOTO Friday Menu RNYers?
we went out to eat twice yesterday (lunch and dinner), so while my choices weren't bad, I went over by about 200 calories. I really need to watch it today. Part of the issue is that we ate lunch so damn late yesterday that I had a protein bar around noon to keep myself from gorging at lunch. Without that, I would have been OK. Right now, I'm really wanting breakfast - but of course my relatives aren't awake yet. They like everyone to eat meals together, so God knows when we'll eat breakfast (I'm planning on Greek yogurt with berries, which is what I had yesterday). This is going to be tough.. But other than that, I'm having a really good time here.
QOTD: we don't have any current relatives who were in the service, I don't think. One of my uncles was a lieutenant colonel in the army and my father was in the national guard and the reserves, but they're both deceased.
2 years 5 months out:
B: Chobani yogurt, fresh berries
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: ??
D: ??
I do have protein bars for emergencies, but I can't use them in the way I usually would (i.e., replacements for a meal) because of the situation, so not sure how much they help. Yesterday, the one I had just put me over on calories. :-(

Update on 'the knee'...so the knee was manipulated yesterday...And it now bends! ...my wonderful surgeon broke it loose...he showed me pictures of how far he could make it bend before he broke up the scar tissue and then how far he could bend it after....after showed that I should be able to kick my own 'end of my back'!!! (So glad I opted to wear undies during procedure!) AND very little pain!!! My physical therapy restarts today. I have to bend the knee and strengthen it so I can keep the bend...and they will help me relearn how to walk without a stiff leg.... It's a miracle....right now my leg does not hurt!!!! Miracle!
