Good Morning!

QOTD: The usual swimming lessons for the kids and then two Halloween parties on Saturday. We are hosting a Halloween party the actual day (Tuesday), so I've got a lot of cleaning and planning to do Sunday. The kids have 17 first cousins and most of them will come over for dinner and then trick or treating afterwards. My 2 year old niece has a severe peanut allergy, so I'm worried about keeping candy away from her. We won't have anything in the house, but the kids will bring back tons of peanut butter cups and things with their loot. My brother and his wife are really careful with her, but I feel responsible since I'm hosting.

Accountability: I let myself indulge a little bit yesterday, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. 1300 or so calories. I've learned my lesson about fiber bars. The premier protein ones are so good, but my entire belly filled up with gas and I was running to the bathroom all evening. I've come full circle since meat week, lol.

Food

B: ice coffee with fairlife milk

L: thai peanut chicken

S: deli ham and cheese

D: ?

Good morning! Menu is identical again. Call me a creature of habit...lol

B: Protein shake

MS: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt with 1.5 oz strawberries

L: 1 cup of 1% cottage cheese/tuna/cucumber mixed up with salt and pepper. Lately this is what has replaced the 2nd protein shake.

AS: See MS:

S: last night's supper was rushed, not the stir-fry I'd hoped. It was cucumber with cheese and some triscuits, with ham on it. Tonight I'm not sure, but I've got a memorial to attend immediately after work, before I go to a hockey game with my Dad. LIkely as not I'll just pocket a protein bar and call it a meal at the game.

ES: Decaf. Lots of it.

Tomorrow I'm actually off (seems like it's been forever) so I'm taking my buddy and my daughter (and her little friend) to another hockey game (local junior teams). This weekend I plan to attack the drum refinishing project and get a lot of it done. The colder it gets outside, the colder my unheated garage gets to work. Doesn't hurt the wood any, but I'm really not liking the cold anymore with this lack of insulation. I can feel each rib now, whereas last year I didn't think I had ribs at all.

I'm also going to spend a lot of time listening to music. I'm having a reunion get together with some old bandmates and we are performing a set or two. Our repertoire was close to 400 songs at one point, and they narrowed it down to a dozen. Not expecting it to be difficult, but I want to nail it. The last time they saw me way back then, I was also 320 lbs or so. In the last few months I've noticed that my speed and endurance behind the kit is ramped up BIG TIME. Going all night barely breaks a sweat anymore which is amazing, as long as I hydrate and maybe keep a gatorade G2 nearby. It's been 17 years since more than 2 of the 5 of us has even been in the same room. Amicable of course, just life taking us all in various directions. I'm so excited for this I can't contain myself. LOL

CHeers!

Thanks! They're the type of friends that years can go by, and when you meet again, you just pick up again like no time has passed. It's going to be a great night.

did fine calorie-wise yesterday, but instead of my planned dinner, I had pumpkin yogurt with bran cereal & two frozen protein pudding pops. I have to eat that damn chicken tonight or it's going to rot!!

QOTD: we're going to a Halloween party on Saturday night and then get our hair cut on Sunday (DH and I always go together). That's all that's planned so far!!

2 years 4 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with mango pieces, raspberries, and blueberries

S: coffee with half & half, SF pumpkin vanilla protein/Miralax latte shake

L: 1 C chili with 2 T shredded cheddar cheese

D: chicken/apple/pecan salad

another yogurt if I can afford the calories (should be able to if I stick to the plan)

ex: yoga

Morning Menu Peeps!

I'm so glad it's Thursday!!! This has been quite a week for me at work... Ugh.

QOTD: Saturday my daughter and a friend of ours are heading out on the horses for a Halloween trail ride to benefit a Horse Rescue in our area. I was really excited about it until I found out that the cold front is coming in and Friday night is going to be our first Hard Freeze of the season, with Saturday being only in the 40's all day long... 4-6 hours on horseback in freezing temps suddenly is losing it's appeal... Friday evening is Senior Night at the Football game, and they'll call all the band/football players down on the field. I imagine I'll be shedding a few tears. Boo. I don't think we have plans on Sunday, and I think I'll be happy about that.

Accountability: Last night, while looking through hundreds of old pictures with my son on an old hard drive I have of the kids and their years growing up, I managed to eat 1/2 of a pint of Halo Top... Boo.

Weight this morning 138.4 - 18 months out - Maintenance Diet

B: 3.7 ounces of ribeye

S: Cheese stick if I need it

L: 3 ounces of salami and cheese

S: Cheese stick/beef jerky 1 ounce

D: Not really sure yet... there are leftover porkchops and various other proteins hanging out in the fridge. I don't anticipate cooking tonight, so I'll have to keep it healthy!
