Gonna kick some butt with a personal trainer

Hi,
I joined a gym. Its a budget gym and they didn't make me sign a contract so that is a major plus! So normally I hate when they push personal trainers because I have had them in the past. Some are worth it and others not so much. BOy was I fortunate to meet a great one today. He has a Masters in Exercise Science, CPT and some really strong background in food science. He did not poo poo my current dieting plan, guessed my exact weight like a carney act and felt that my goal of 160's was a good range for my body type and height. I am 5 foot 6 but carry very little visceral fat in my upper body. He showed me pictures of his new wife who weighed 250 when they met and now weighs 130 and is a personal trainer herself.
I like that he isn't a spring chicken (guessing 40's) and definitely likes people a lot.And he is not that expensive so I am going to work with him a few months a couple times a week and he also has a boot camp.
He spent 15 minutes getting to know me and working some equipment and then I went and did half hour cardio. Giving me a free session on Friday which I thought was a great start. Now to get my husband to come with me...... If he doesn't I am still doing it. Want to look good at 52.!! 52 is the new forty!!

I found my 'right' trainer back in March when I was 8 weeks post-op. I worked with him for 5 months ****il my schedule became so crazy I couldn't fit it in). He really taught me a lot about safety and form and I gained a ton of progress with him. Good luck!

I've had my share of personal trainers. It's a lot more fun when you're not obese. You're not counting down the minutes just trying to stay alive.
Your fitness IQ is about to get much higher too.
