Not enough food? Minimal progress this past month
Thanks. I do weigh and log all my food. I say 600-800, because it fluctuates each day-- so that is an average of what I eat. I guess I just need to somehow get in more fluids. Ugh. IDK how people do it. My stomach just doesn't like water, so every sip just sits like a lead balloon. Maybe I will see if SF ice pops help. Can't hurt! Thanks again. I'm just so afraid I'm doing something wrong.
Oh-- for protein, I'm having a lot of chicken and fish. Occasional ground beef and eggs. Maybe a spoonful of veggies or carbs like mashed potatoes. No crackers, pasta, bread-- those are on the "don't eat" list.

at 9 years post op my pouch still hates plain water. But i like decaf coffee, herbal and green teas, and nicely flavored water. I drink fruit infused water- I take 1/2 cup of berries, use 2 quart jar overnight. strain, fill with water and let it sit for 24 hours - shaking occasionally (as i open the fridge - see it and shake it). Or herbal teas. Or warm broths - adds minerals to our body.

Be very careful of the sugar free popscicles. The best ones that I have found have 4 carbs in them and zero protein. You eat 3 or 4 during your day and the carbs start adding up.
The walking is great but doing something that makes you sweat and increases your heart rate is closer to ideal.
I used to utilize a treadmill and walk uphill to achieve this.
600-800 cals a day is pretty normal but I like to "bust up" any eating/exercise routine that I've fallen into for too long to try and break out of any weight plateaus. I also exercise while fasting in the morning.
Dont forget that you'll burn less calories as you lose weight so in a way you have to work harder to achieve the same results as time passes.
Liquid, liquid, liquid. Be careful of SF pops. They are nice and refreshing. But some have fake sugars that mess with your system. Also each pop is between 15 to 25 calories depending on brand/formulation. If you eat 4 of those a day, you're adding lots of extra calories. Try different fluid temps first. Either room, cold or hot depending on what you are doing now. I got going with liquids by drinking a lot of hot teas all day.
I also like a few drinks with SF Crush products. Very refreshing to me.
Good luck!

Hi and ditto on what everyone said here!!
I am a revision so slow losses for me and I am close to goal. I came here in month three and whined that I wasn't losing . Only lost 5 pounds last month. I am back on low carb high protein and the weight is coming off again. I lost more in the last two weeks than I had in the last month and expect to lose 7-8 this month instead of the 5 from last month. I stick to about 600-650 per day and less than 20 carbs.

You can drink before meals. Your doctor is incorrect if he/she says otherwise. It is during/after meals you need to avoid drinking.
Edited to add: Oh and I despite water, but those little water drop flavor thingies are a life-saver for me, that and tea...
