What's on your Monday Menu RNYers?
Good morning menu folks! We had such a lovely weekend weather wise and I got in a hike and a long walk, plus a swim on Sunday. It was nice to be outside in the sunshine and to get in some great exercise. I am proud of myself for doing vigorous exercise most days. It has helped my health greatly and I love that I feel stronger than I ever have in my body.
As of this morning, I am officially at goal, 124. My ultimate goal had been to be in the Normal BMI range and I am there by a few pounds. After a stall of almost 4 weeks, I am losing again and don't know where my weight will end up before it levels out. I hope not alot more. I posted another thread, but I would love to hear how those of you in maintenance transitioned. I don't know how to change from the lose-gain cycle to maintaining.
QOTD: I bought some candy to hand out. Some years we do and some years we don't. I set 2 boundaries though. First, I didn't get some kinds of candy that are real temptations to me. And second the leftovers have to leave the house by the next day so that it isn't a temptation. I like to give out candy to see how the neighbor kids dress up and I hope that it is a nice evening.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham
Snack: Grape protein shake
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausage, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: pork chops, cauliflower
Exercise: 60 minutes on the treadmill

HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.
I started gradually increasing my calories when I hit maintenance, by about 100 kcal every couple of weeks. I eventually found my sweet spot. However, I wish I would have waited a little longer or stopped increasing a little sooner, because I eventually (and gradually) gained about eight pounds. My weight hasn't budged in a long time, though, so this calorie range "works" for me. I miss being in the 130's even though it's probably a bit too low for me, and I'm not motivated to reduce my calories to get there again. So until then... But I'm 142-144 which is in the normal BMI range for me, and I'm able to maintain it without feeling really deprived, so this works.
Good morning! Back to work again (but not many days left for me). I had been thinking of offering to do some contract work a few hours a week, but I'm not sure I want to make that commitment right now.
QOTD: Over the past few years we have left a bowl outside with candy (hopefully no one hogs it). Our elderly dogs can't take all the excitement of lots of people coming to the door. We will likely do the same this year unless someone in the household (not me) wants to stay in the sunroom with the door closed and do it.
1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 13 work days to retirement (11/13).
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: vegetarian chili
D: roast chicken and cabbage
S: yogurt

Good morning :)
The weekend was so lovely. We were outside quite a bit, did some yardwork, had lunch on our patio, it was nice to just relax a bit.
Today I'm back to work. I need to find something to do during my lunch break. I'm not much of a walker/wanderer, but I need to find something that doesn't end with me spending money. Honestly, I wish I could have a nap during my break. That would make my afternoons a lot better ;)
QOTD: we will hand out candy and maybe dress up the dogs. DH loves handing out candy. He sits by the front door hoping more trick or treaters will come by. There are basically just two houses on our side of the street where we are so we don't get many kids. The last couple kids get like half a bowl of candy. DH has hid the box so I can't get into them.
Post-op two years, seven months.
Breakfast - Greek yogurt
Snack - egg
Lunch - pork chop
Snack - turkey sausage
Snack - ham and cheese
Dinner - pork chop probably
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.
qOTD: we only get about 10 kids for trick or treat here. We have a mix of older retirees and a few young families.
Yay for gizzards! I sous vide some last night as I was waiting on ribeye to cook up.
Food plan for today:
gizzards- lol
jello/yogurt
egg whites
dinner is pork/goat ribs. Went to the indian grocery and got a pound of them. Will put the pork ribs in sous vide and then the goat ribs in instant pot i think since they will need longer to cook i think. never tried the ribs before. excited.
