What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
morning!
getting organized to head to Montreal for the day. Going to watch a cfl game with my inlaws. Weather is supposed to be gorgeous! Looking forward to it. Since it will be a long day, our neighbour is going to pop in and take Charlie out for a walk and hang out with him.
qotd: do you have good neighbours? Do you know your neighbours? We live in an older neighbourhood (like we're the youngest by about 30 years). Most of the houses are still occupied by original owners when the development was built in the early 60s. There are new families starting to move in, but we've been here 7-8 years hahah. I love it. They are always keeping an eye on our place, and up for a chat. My husband is often called in for IT support, to hook up new tvs, or computers etc.
accountability: I had beer yesterday. So not good? I came home from the farm, and hubby and some family were having a meeting to discuss making beer, and sampling a few. It was tasty. Too tasty. I only had a small glass, but yikes. I can see how easy it is to slip into old habits...
menu:
B: coffee and premier
L/D: no idea, as we'll be on the road.
have a good one!

Good morning weekenders! It is supposed to be another beautiful day here. I hope to get in a long walk, as well as a swim. Yesterday I took at 2+ hour hike in a local park and had a great time. I'm glad that I've gotten into hiking in the last few weeks. It provides a good challenge and great exercise.
The scale is down again this morning. I am down 4.2 pounds since Monday.
QOTD: we are friendly with our most of our neighbors, but we don't really know them or do anything. I usually take cookies for Christmas, but that is all.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham
Snack: 2 string cheese sticks
Lunch: Turkey breast, baby carrots
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake
Dinner: shrimp, broccoli
Exercise: swimming, long walk

Good Morning Erin and Menu Family,
QOTD: I live in a small subdivision 1 mile outside of town and have AWESOME neighbors. My neighbor across the street is my hero! He mows my lawn (I pay him), takes care of my underground sprinkler system, trims my bushes, and does odd jobs for me. When a tall tree of ours got hit by lightning and fell down he chopped it all up into firewood for me. He came over at night one evening and fixed our broken shower that was spraying water everywhere! He has helped me out with so many home repairs! He is absolutely a God-send to me! My other neighbors are the pastor and his wife of our church. They are really nice people. Everyone in the subdivision waves at each other when we pass. It's a very friendly subdivision. I am so blessed!
Accountability: Yesterday I ate more calories than I should have. I think I was celebrating CAMAW being over with. Protein - 91, Calories 1,235, Carbs - 87.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana
L: cheesy chicken, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: rib-eye steak, light & fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, Atkin's p.b. cups

Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!
~ Karen

Me too (too many calories - CAMAW over celebration...)!

Good morning! We went to SIL's for dinner last night. She made a great weigh****chers eggplant lasagne. The calories were good but not for the 2 chocolate chip cookies I ate later... Tonight DH and I are going to a display of 5000 carved pumpkins. It is about an hour away so we will probably stop for an early dinner on the way.
QOTD: We have great neighbors. Everyone is really friendly. The ones directly behind us have become good friends and we get together periodically. We both bought our houses here in 2009, both moved here fulltime in 2014, and our retirements have been close together. And they bought a place in Clearwater FL early this year (we bought ours in Port Charlotte early this year).
1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 13 work days to retirement (11/13).
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: vegetarian chili
D: ? (Something protein based)
S: yogurt

brunch with friends today (although I had some yogurt around 6:00 this morning - I didn't want to wait until 10:00 to eat, otherwise there would be a risk of mawing (sp?). Nothing else on the agenda, but I need to get my butt over to the gym sometime today!!
QOTD: We live in an older neighborhood (1950s) and know most of our neighbors from a couple of block parties we had years ago. I know some of them a little better from when I rode the bus to work several years ago - and a couple of them we occasionally socialize with. They're good folks. Most are state workers or work for the university (so technically, also state workers), and most have lived here for a long time (we've been here 20 years, and many of them pre-date us). I kind of like that, though..very established place...
2 years 4 months out:
B: homemade vanilla Greek yogurt, 10 strawberries
B2: going to a Mexican/Central American bakery for brunch, so maybe the breakfast tacos (oh - and coffee with half and half first!)
D: chicken/apple/pecan salad and corn
probably another yogurt somewhere in there if I can swing the calories...
have a great day everyone!
Good morning! Got to take my first post surgery shower...yes!
QOTD: I have been in my home over 30 years, and two of my neighbors are my closest and oldest friends. I do know quite a few of my neighbors just in passing. I live in a nice peaceful block.
No appetite post surgery, but drinking lots of fluids. Only got an 80 g of protein yesterday, which is low for healing purposes. So I'm thinking I need to add some protein drinks. It's not that I don't make myself food but then, I look at it and I just take a bite or two and I'm like yeah I can do this.
So I have one Premier protein in and I'm working on my morning latte with Fairlife.
The food day is unknown except lots of fluids and at least 100g protein.
