What's on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
QOTD: I worked at Eckerd drugs when I was 15. It was bought out by rite aid which I think walgreens now owns? Anyway it was great for the bargains, i would bring home crap all the time which my mom loved and hated. I would sometimes wrk in pharmacy and in photo lab. The photo lab manager was a total old perv.
cheers to another day! DH got called for a shot in his spine so I had to leave my home office at 12 to take him there, sit and work for the shot, we went to lunch, then drove back home. no relief yet for him they said it could take 48 hours to kick in. I ended up making up time last night instead.
We went to mellow mushroom and I had naked wings, toppings off a pizza slice and a couple bites of spinach salad. I had the rest of the salad for dinner with a lo carb wrap with tons of fiber.
Eats for today
HB egg whites
gelatin
yogurt
prot pancakes
i think we will have the breakfast for dinner I planned yesterday. not sure which part of this I will eat. I might just have some cheese egg whites or something.
Oh we stopped by a thrift i like to frequent with $1 clothes. I found a vintage suede jacket, another suede jacket and some other tops/jackets/sweaters. Spent $9 for 9 items. it was awesome. looks like I will be doing another round of cleaning out the closet.
I'll get on the "feeling tired and worn down" train today. Just can't seem to get in gear.
QotD: I babysat, but my first real job was at taco John's (similar to Taco Bell but they use actual fresh ground meat, veggies, etc) and I worked there nearly 10 years. I quit when I graduated college. Still have a lot of close friends from there :)
breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheese
snack: celery with peanut butter
lunch: spinach salad with chicken, string cheese
dinner: movie night out, so tbd

Hi Teena D and OHer's...it's in the 40's here right now! I'm still housebound from the knee surgery but all is well.
My first job lasted one day for me.. It was at a drive up fast food and ice cream place...the manager would not keep his hands off me...he finally came up behind me and put his arms around me and I slammed both elbows into his rib cage and walked out the door. My dad went down later and got my one day paycheck from him...that must have been an interesting conversation. Times have changed!
So I evidently need to change to decaf coffee... any brands that don't taste like bog water?
B 2 egg bites
L tuna Pattie
D cup of all meat chili
I usually can't eat all that I list right now so I'm going to drink one premier protein throughout the day.
Have a great day everyone.
I found that Starbucks is really good for decaf. My hubby is a huge Tim Horton's fan and I bought the decaf in that originally. It was HORRIBLE, but the Starbucks was good. I don't remember which roast but I think it was dark. At work our cafeteria serves Pike's Place (also Starbucks) decaf and it's good too.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
So I am a decaf freak... I typically have several bags of beans at any given time.
I do love the Starbucks beans, but if you don't like Starbucks, check your local grocery stores and see if they have the big containers of fresh beans... the key is the whole beans (imho)... it's really not hard to fresh-grind them each time, and it gives a much better flavor... Right now I have bags of hazlenut cream/ vanilla nut/ chocolate macadamia/ and an espresso bean.
I'm surprised your dad was able to keep his hands off that manager! Ugh.

I love Starbucks! I'm a French Roast Starbucks kind of woman... somewhere on one of the OH sites someone went into detail about the decaffeination process -chemical vs. Swiss water process- ? Ok I can grind my own beans...that tasting better makes sense.... thank you so much.
I don't know exactly what happened when dad went down to chat and get my check.... dad was a man of few words. ..
My sister swears by Pete's coffee beans - but really its the roasting date that is the most important! Fresher is better!

What a creep! At least you told your Dad. When I was in Junior High, this awful art teacher used to look down my blouse and tell me how good I smelled. Still makes me cringe to remember it. But mostly because I NEVER told anyone until I was an adult and fully comprehended how wrong that was. I sure hope he never went any further...

Morning!
Oh man! I would love to work at a book store. The dream would to own my own little local one like in You Got Mail. I just read an article about how bookstores are actually experiencing an increase in sales! So yaaay!
I woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible stomach ache. TMI: but I just barely made it to the bathroom. Jesters post about bowel obstruction was ringing in my ears, so I had a mini freak out. But I'm feeling great now, pretty sure that I just had too many lentils and eggs yesterday. Apparently lentils can cause some gastrointestinal discomfort.
Also, I thought I posted in the menu board yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have ever loaded. Weird!
QOTD: My first(and best) job was teaching English in Africa. If y'all get the chance, go to South Africa and Lesotho. Best places on Earth ;)
Accountability: Good. I was having some pretty serious cravings last night, but stayed the course. I've found that when I'm having mind games and head hunger, watching an episode of my 600lb life tends to shut jr down. So that's what I did. lol I don't know if that's a great coping mechanism, but so far it works! Also, I increased my salt intake and saw a 2lb gain in my weight almost immediately. I'm not happy about that. It's my first gain since surgery. I'm pretty sure it's jus****er retention weight, but still. :/
Menu:
M1. Protein Coffee
M2. HB egg and a small side of cream cheese with TJ bagel seasoning
M3. Chicken Bone Broth or Fage Yogurt
M4.1/2 cup Tofu stir fry (onions, peppers, garlic, etc. with a sauce made from Truvia brown "sugar", soy sauce, and isopure unflavored protein powder) calories are about 230, protein about 30, and I think carbs were 15? I plugged into MFP but can't remember.
M5. 1/2 cup cottage cheese with SF BBQ sauce.
E: Bootcamp! I'm also starting a walking challenge. So hoping to get in 1 mile today as well.
V: patches last night and iron supplement. I need to grab a b12 one from the store, not happy with the patch version.
