What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Happy Labor Day everyone,
Beautiful day here in CT!
QOTD: I am not a big book reader. The last book I read was a few years back called 30 years on the line. It was written by a retired fire department lieutenant. I do like biography's.
Accountibility: I had a couple bites of grilled corn on the cob last night that I was definately not planning on. I still have been able to get rid of all the water weight from eating fresh seafood the other day and sooo bloated! I'm sure eating BBQ last night isn't helping either because that's pretty salty as well.
B: 2 eggs, 1 slice of cheese, itialian sausage
L: 1 1/2 oz flat iron steak, 1oz grilled keilbasa
S: Did not want one
D: TBD probably grilled flat iron steak
S: ?
Enjoy the rest of your night everyone!

A day late, but I wanted to add my two cents on books!
I'm currently reading "The Zookeeper's Wife" by Diane Ackerman which was made into a movie which I haven't seen. The book is beautifully written and I'm loving it, but I can't imagine how they could translate it into a great movie. The writing is just scrumptious.
Just before this book I read another book that was made into a movie "A Dog's Purpose" (haven't seen that movie either) and I enjoyed that book, will watch the movie...
Like you I usually have a nonfiction book going and my current book is "On Trails: An Exploration" by Robert Moor before this book I read "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari which I loved!
Last night I finished the latest David Sedaris book, "Theft by Finding: Diaries 1977-2002" on audio book. I love listening to his voice and he narrates it. In audible I'm also listening to "The Gatekeepers: How the White House Chiefs of Staff Define every Presidency" by Chris Whipple. It is fascinating and I can't wait to get back to it.
I've been using audio books for my walks/runs at night - it's a great way to fight boredom and distract myself from the discomfort of exercise!
