Morning RNY'ers! So I got in an extra run today since it's a day off. This will help me transition my work out days. I'll shamelessly admit I'm rearranging it based on some of my fall TV shows returning (like This is Us!). No plans today. Last night I woke with a really intense/odd pain in my mid-upper back. It kept me up a bit, I tried to figure if it was musculoskeletal, but no specific movement or touch triggered it. I woke fine this morning- odd.

Qotd: secret shame... I don't read. Can't contribute.

197 today., 2.4 years out.

M1 1 cup steel cut oatmeal, 4 turkey sausage

m2: baked Pesto Chicken

m3: hamburger/hot dog

m4: chicken meatballs (maybe)

Nice day here in Illinois today and Lily and I have our 3.6 miles in already. Will do another mile after supper too. Plans today include laundry and finishing packing the camper so we can leave ASAP after we get our commodities at the pantry tomorrow. I'm having to pack some clothes for all three seasons:short sleeve t shirts, light weight long sleeves and some light weight sweaters as areas we are going are north and have been cooler than we have been. QOTD Ive been reading JA Jance and am currently reading Web of Evil. All her book series are good. They move fast and are an easy read. I don't like books where I have to think too much. Accountability was great as I've been too busy to snack. Post op 5 years and weight at 118 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz sloppy joe and 1 sm tomato diced D 31/2 oz ribeye 1/2 c carrots S 5 oz cottage cheese with no sugar added peach butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

I'm so glad you posted today Karen. I've been enjoying my steel cut oats, but feel like I've been eating too much, so I needed to see what your serving size is. I'm definitely going to scale back.

What kind of protein do you add?

Good morning everyone! i could have slept in as well, but I was up very early. We are having some unexpected stormy rain here, very unusual for CA. It usually only rains in winter, never summer or fall. I wi**** would cool us off, but we are still in for some heat today. Lovely. Not much plans wise today. House stuff and meal planning and being lazy. I did spend some time on organizing my moms desk yesterday and have a little more to go, but I did great and feel like I am honoring my mom along the way. Found some sweet little things in there...little trinkets, lots of old photos and things like her expired DL's and her glasses... they made me happy.

QOTD - Reading a book puts me to sleep. I can read newspapers, magazines, cook books, anything medical, school or work related at full attention. My mom and dad were avid readers, as are my sisters and brothers. Me, I've tried but it just isn't my thing. My son loves to read too.

Accountability- stayed on plan 100%

Good Morning Nenu peeps! My phone autocorrected to 'perps'. Lol. Ahhh think that's something else.

QOTD: I feel like a slacker compared to all of you. I am constantly reading-articles, research etc. but I go through phases with books in later life. I start and don't finish.

I have been in a food re-evaluation along with maintenance practices.... mostly because of some physical things I'm dealing with and the mental- am I driving myself crazy? Because of that the scale was higher than I like but still in my range and with my day trip to Montauk on Wednesday jumped even higher overnight- like 4lbs... and wasn't coming down in fact creeping in wrong direction. {{Insert panic}} and was in my 'oh crap' zone. yesterday I drank more actual water and decided I needed more than my morning Miralax/evening magnesium... yup a good bathroom visit and down 5lbs overnight... I tell this story just because it might help someone else see the inconsistencies we deal with and we just need to stay the course. While I usually hold my own, a good pani****asionally happens.

Today? Pool sunshine crying a little tear for the unofficial end of summer. Later a wake, My sister's best friend from childhood Dad passed. She grew up a few doors down from us.

B: usual latte, eggbeaters bacon cheese

L: New cauliflower pizza recipe that was the bomb and so easy. Rendition 2. First time I made it with frozen diced cauliflower- this time fresh and will see if I can get it crisper.

D: steak and mashed cauliflower...if I have time. If not buffalo chicken salad melt on low carb pita

S: protein drink tbd, passion tea and coconut milk. Protein hot chocolate or chocolate chai latte (for evening)
