Morning RNY'ers!! My run is done and I did my best distance yet- 5.6miles. Maybe I'll just shoot for the 6 after all. Breakfast is done too and now I'm gonna relax, iron and relax some more. Since Friday afternoon I've felt exceptionally tired. I ran down my vitamin discipline in my head and realized I've missed my B12 for 2 weeks (I take is weekly). My level has been ski high, so I doubt it had any effect- but I promptly took it. My body is sore too- but I notice that happens when I switch between planet fitness and La fitness for workouts, which I did this week too.

Accountability: I bought some cinnamon crumb mini muffins yesterday- admittedly I bought them cause they advertised being made with Greek yogurt. There is no nutritional benefit in that regard, but they are only 100 calories. I immediately froze them or else I would have eaten all of them.

Qotd: I've said it before, but I'm most grateful that my body/joints etc held up despite me SMO for sooo long. I know I didn't appreciate or value health when I was SMO, that's not something I'll ever take for granted again. Also, I'm grateful for my employment- I love what I do and I have job security. I have solidified a nice pension already, having that area of my life stable leaves me to be able to focus on my health and family.

197.5 today, 2.4 year out

m1/2: 8oz steel cut oats and berries, 2 scrmbaled eggs, 2 slices bacon. (1st time I've been able to eat bacon since surgery- it was kind of hard to get down, but no stomach upset afterwards)

m3: tuna 3oz, cheese 1oz, cashews 1 oz or chicken meatballs

m4: pesto chicken

Howdy from GA!

QOTD: I am grateful for having a wonderful home, great husband, cool dogs, and a great business that lets me travel all over the world!! And my health!

So food: I made a great discovery and recipe to get my protein out of shake form and into a protein pancake! No flour! Just protein powder, egg whites and cinnamon. Simple recipe includes 4 ingredients and makes 5 pancakes. A portion size is 2 or 2 1/2 protein pancakes.

Here is the recipe:

1 scoop of whey protein isolate 25 gram protein

3 tablespoons of egg whites 5 grams protein

1 scoop of Quest salted caramel whey protein 22 grams protein

6 ounces of 30 calories sugar free almond milk

Mix together, spray pan with butter spray and make 5 pancakes.

Nutritionals are: 50 calories per pancake with 10 grams of protein per pancake. 2 1/2 pancakes gets you 25 grams protein and 125 calories per serving.!! Don't cook them long or they turn very dry. They cook in less than a minute each on high heat.

They have twice as much protein as cheese or meat and you can use Walden farms 0 calorie pancake syrup or just eat them plain.

So my menu today is:

egg beaters mixed with turkey chili and a baby bel 150 calories 20 grams protein

One protein pancake 50 calories 10 grams protein

Snack: Maybe a piece of ham 2 ounces 70 calories 12 grams of protein

Dinner: Maybe leftover pork with roasted organic carrots 175 calories 21 grams protein

Snack: Yogurt with PB powder 110 calories and 17 grams protein

Lots of liquids and all my vits 585 calories 80 grams protein

Hi hi! Sorry I'm so late to the thread - what a busy day it's been. DH is on call all weekend and we've been running errands in his work truck. Started the day by running at the gym, then took the dogs out for their walk, ran to the grocery store, went to the pet store, and so on. Just finished putting dinner together before popping it all in the oven to cook. New recipe today, I hope it's good!

Accountability: had a bit of a "screw it" day after getting my feathers ruffled over the scale. I ate things I didn't need but I still was mindful of making the not awesome food choices less terrible. Protein chips instead of potato chips etc.

QOTD: I am grateful for so much! Obviously I'm insanely grateful for all of the amazing people on OH! I have an amazing family, supportive and loving friends, a wonderful job that is full of wonderful people, a great gym that is just a short three minute drive from home and a general renewed positive outlook on life. I feel so blessed to be able to see the good in my life and not focus on the negative. Lately, my new focus has been on taking anything negative in my life and finding a way to make it positive. It's super empowering. I never ever thought I'd be able to say things like that and actually mean it. Life is so crazy!

b- coffee with coconut milk creamer

l- decaf almond milk latte and a bison meat stick

d- super lean ground turkey cauliflower cheese casserole

s- baked tofu Buffalo "wings" with Greek yogurt blue cheese dip and celery, maybe fresh raspberries or Greek light and fit.

v- patches

e- did 3.75 miles on the treadmill and a 40 min dog walk. Will try to get in some sit ups and squats during commercial breaks (if I feel like I have it in me)

Hope everyone had/is having a great weekend!!
