Good morning! Back to reality for me today (WFH today and tomorrow before the long weekend). Fall is pretty, but I am definitely a summer person (beach, beach, beach, and sun). I think it is supposed to be chilly here too for a few days, but warm on Monday. Typically September is fairly nice on Cape Cod (ocean effect). I hope so!
QOTD: We went to Disney several times when the kids were young. I always found it to be EXHAUSTING. Probably partially because of my weight. Regardless, it was NOT a relaxing vacation. I might try going with just DH when we are in Florida for the winter, off-season, without the pressure of trying to see everything. We will see...

QOTD: I have never been to either Disneyland or Disney World, but I did get to go to Busch Gardens Amusement park and ride on several roller coasters in 2004. Saralisa and I had gone out to Virginia to visit my brother, John and his family and my dad. It was the last time I was with my dad before he died. We went to the beach and the amusement park and a forest and had a wonderful time!

Good morning menu folks! It's a lovely day here and I hope to get out at lunch for a walk.
Yesterday was my 6-month appointment with my surgeon. He was happy with my progress and still seems surprised that I'm still losing weight. I keep explaining to him that I'm eating my protein, very few carbs and I'm exercising, so I'm losing.
QOTD: I went to Disney World when I was 13 with my father's family. I didn't really enjoy it that much and have never been motivated to go back again.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, turkey sausage

Lunch: pork chop, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast

That is a little scary that a surgeon is surprised you are losing at 6 months out....

Good morning, My eyes are mostly healed up after two days of eye drops every two hours. They are still a little irritated, but I don't think I am catchy anymore so I am heading back in. I worked from home yesterday, responding to crises, but I also got to have a super lazy day--Ozark binge and jammies all day! Just what the doctor ordered :)
QOTD: I went to Disney in FL when I was 16. In fact I think it was my 16th birthday! I've also been to Disney in CA twice for conferences. One was just in Anaheim and we took an extra day to go, but the other conference was actually on the grounds and it was so big that they closed off the park to just us after hours and we got to play after hours and go on the rides at night. That was a super fun trip! I had to cancel my plans for the Disney Half marathon in January since I haven't been able to run since April, but it's a bucket list thing for me, so I WILL go!
