Gaining
Good evening all. I'm scheduled for rny on 9/12. I have my final weigh-in on 9/6 and watch the drop video. I'm in Michigan and wonder if anyone knows someone who surgery date was cancelled due to them gaining a few pounds. Right now with changing my eating and exercise seems like I'm up in a few lbs and scared they are going to cancel my rny. Does anyone know if someone surgery was canceled. Thank you everyone
I've seen at least a few of everything that's possible. Some surgeons are super strict, and will cancel for weight gain or a failed nicotine test.
Exercise will make you retain water in the short term. Go really low carb, skip the food funerals, and you have plenty of time left.

It depends on surgeon and their rules.
I know a lady that had the surgery postponed because she did not lose on the 2 week pre-op diet. Not gain - but did not lose. The surgeon put her surgery off until she could show she can stick to his plan. She got some more counseling and had surgery 6 weeks later.

Every surgeon is different. The only way to know if YOUR surgery is at risk of being cancelled is to call the surgeon's office and ask.
