one more week before the students are back, and my good friend whom I've had so much fun with this summer is headed back home to Istanbul tomorrow. So feeling a bit bummed. Where has the summer gone? Can I survive another semester? Although I usually get so busy once it's underway that it's Thanksgiving before I know it!

QOTD: hmmm...interesting question...I really don't know! I think I enjoy my creature comforts too much to time travel (even going back 50 years would seem intolerable). I loved studying British history, though - even the ancient stuff - so maybe some of the ancient tribes there? I enjoyed my ancient Greek history classes, too.

2 years 2 months out (maintenance)

B: homemade yogurt that flopped, so I made it into overnight oats (thanks NYMom22!) with fresh raspberries and blueberries

S: coffee with half & half, peanut butter/butterscotch protein/Miralax shake (also contains some flopped yogurt)

L: tuna/chickpea salad, peach

D: Caprese salad, maybe an ear of corn (maybe...)

if I have enough calories, a Greek yogurt or protein shake, but I'm going to be cutting it close...

ex: yoga

Good Morning Protein Pals :) Weekend was good, enjoying the last rays of summer sunshine and floating/swimming in my pool as much as possible

I have some irons in the stove as they say about new employment I am working on this week... we will see. I also bought paint Friday to paint my son's room and furniture. Room is spackled, just need to clean up the spackle dust and get going.

I bought a T-shirt at Target last night I love- so soft and love the saying from Harry Potter- Something to the effect of: I don't go looking for trouble- Trouble seems to find me. :)

Have been in a re-evaluation phase of my diet...due to ongoing low protein-even though I eat plenty and muscle loss- even though I lift heavy things :) The journey continues.

Trying out a few new low carb recipes today both from Food.com

QOTD: Hands down Egypt. Always fascinated me... the pyramids and the pharaohs...

B: Usual Latte- Fairlife/miralax/MCT oil Food.com one minute flaxmuffin, 1 egg

L: Salad: kale mix and persian cucumber with grilled chicken, hummus, Mediterranean goat cheese

D: Low carb Chili from food.com but made with ground turkey, shred cheddar, sauteed veggies

S: passion tea with coconut milk and SF vanilla syrup, celery with cream cheese, mint cookie and cashew milk protein drink, Premier protein hot chocolate with half and half.

Ex: Gym and swimming

Hi All, still super busy at work with not much time to check in these days...

QOTD: I would love to visit any of the ancient civilizations including China, Greece, Rome, Peru. But just for a day--I am pretty attached to indoor plumbing ;)

Haven't had a minute to enter anything into MFP--pretty sure it adds up okay, though...I'll adjust if I need to, later.

S: chomps meat stick

L: Emiepie's egg salad with egg whites only
