Good morning, menu crew! Today I am feeling proud because I am getting a raise at work so my commission is going to increase. I'm really happy about it even though the percentage is just a small change. Every penny counts, right?

Accountability: I was really good with all of my food choices BUT I did go over my 600 calorie limit. It could have been worse. I couldn't stop thinking about cupcakes all day haha!

QOTD: If I didn't have WLS I would feel exactly the same way that Daisy had said. I also would've continued to feel completely stuck in life. Once I started to lose pounds and regain my confidence, I started to look at things in a completely different way and was able to make several changes. Not just changes in my health but in my happiness too. I got a different job, started weeding out the negative aspects (and people) in my life and really turned things around for the better. BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE!

B: decaf coffee with a splash of cream and SF vanilla, protein water

L: ground turkey with Thai peanut sauce (hopefully the combination is good, only time will tell lol)

D: leftover chicken sausage

S: Probably a greek light and fit yogurt. Maybe plain greek yogurt with some syntrax powder mixed in

V: patches

E: walking with the dogs

hanks for starting. Had biometric scan this morning and some bloodwork to get some money from United healthcare healthy whatever. I thought it was going to be like a dexa can but all they did was take my waist measurement, heght and weight? WTH i wasted time on that.

food:

had to fast this morning, then had so far:

quest chips

prot pancakes

iced coffee

maybe pizza toppings for dinner with some spinach

went to my holistic doc about abdominal fluid/swelling and she recommended an herbal to reduce it. started that today.

Accountability:kept carbs at 30 yesterday, weight is starting to drop

Howdy from Georgia!

Having some sort of emotional day (yup I think it is the dreaded hormone dumping). Trying to stay off of social media but its part of my work owning both a recruiting and travel agency. Too many people fighting or injuring each other. I spoke to a travel buddy who I have know for more than 30 years. We have not spoken in a decade but I found her on LinkedIn. We have been to Egypt and Martinique and some other places together.

QOTD: Well if I didn't have WLS I would be unhappy overall. I have managed to maintain a fair percentage of weight loss from my highest but the last few airline flights were very uncomfortable and I barely fit in my seat. Mostly cause of my huge thighs ( I am not top heavy) but it was horrible. As a travel agency owner, I try to be compassionate about obesity but I can most definitely understand how someone else sitting next to me may not feel the same way.

FOOD:

20 ounces of coffee

Egg beaters with cheese and 1 slice ham 125 14 grams protein

Chicken breast 3 ounces plus a piece of cauliflower with cheese 175 26 grams

Dinner: Some form of meat and maybe a piece of zucchini 150 calories 25 grams

Snack: Sounds crazy but I am kinda off the sweet of yogurt

I found a 97% fat free kosher hot dog that has 45 calories and 6 grams of protein see picture below:

So I think I will end up at 600 calories and about 77 grams protein less than 10 carb grams and 75 ounces of water

Late post for me today. Working nights all weekend.

QOTD: When reading your answer Daisy I felt like I could have written the very same thing myself. That is exactly how I felt. I was so tired after working a 12 hour shift that I would go straight home. Now I will run to the grocery store - go run errands - or just stop by my dad's for a visit on my way home. I feel so much better and I still have 60 pounds to lose to reach the goal I set when I started. I have pretty much decided to lose at least 10 more pounds now though.

Accountability: Did not stick to plan yesterday. I substituted quite a bit. I did not do horrible but did get quite a bit less protein than planned.

Planned / Actual :

Cal - 574 / 642 Prot. - 88 / 64 Carbs - 29 / 32

Todays menu:

B1 - iced coffee with 1/4 scoop protein powder, SF creamer

B2 - Emiepie's egg salad (yum - I had to join the band wagon and try it)

L - Shrimp, ****tail sauce, yellow squash

D - Turkey lunch meat, laughing cow cheese wedge, spinach, mini cucumber, grape tomatoes

S - Smoked Salmon, decaf iced coffee, 1/4 scoop protein powder, SF creamer

Calories - 628, Protein - 82, Carbs - 26

On August 13th it was 5 months for me since surgery. I had my nieces all weekend and again from Tuesday night until Thursday night so I have not posted much and had not yet taken a picture for my 5 months. I did manage to get that done today right after I got out of the shower and got dressed. Sorry the picture is blurry - I believe it is the lighting, the mirror and the cropping I did to make the picture in the mirror bigger. **Edited to add picture - it wouldn't let me add it the first time.

Thanks - I was excited to see I have a waist..lol

I don't really look at myself in the full length mirror it is in my guest room - I mostly just use the mirror in the bathroom, and I can only see from my chest up.
