What's on your Menu today (photo friday) RNYers?
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
QOTD: If I hadn't had WLS I would be approaching liver failure, as well as having other medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, painful arthritis in my knees & back, etc. I wouldn't be out walking my dog every day like I am now.
My daughter, Saralisa, is still in Ireland and here are two photos she sent me this morning from Ireland.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 74, Calories - 900, Carbs - 88.

I LOVE photo Friday. Your Rose of Sharon is gorgeous. We had one that was a casualty of a new driveway - I miss it.
I'm going to post separately about my Dexa and RMR from yesterday - it was very interesting.
Today will be a house cleaning day (at least in the am), as we have a friend from Rochester NY coming for the weekend. He was a college roommate of DH. DH saw him perhaps 5-8 years ago when they met at the Baseball Hall of Fame. It has been 10-11 since I have. DH has always been great at keeping in touch with all his old friends. It should be fun as Michael is a really funny guy.
QOTD: If I didn't have WLS, I would probably be fully diabetic and I'd be worrying about having a heart attack every day (heart disease was prevalent in my fathers family - the last 2 generations all died young).
The picture below was taken at the foot of Newfound Lake in NH where we visited friends last weekend.
16.5 months post-op, 8.5 months in maintenance, 74 days to retirement.

I love everybody's pictures today. It's a beautiful day here in Illinois today and Lily and I have our 3.6 miles in early. Well do another mile after supper most likely too. Busy weekend as oldest is coming to Illinois from Minneapolis for the weekend and going back Tuesday. They're coming to see the Eclipse which is pretty much right over us. We are camping Sunday and Monday nights in a spot with no trees so we'll have a good view. This afternoon we pick him up at the airport in St Louis. Sunday we have a potluck after church then head out to camp. QOTD I would be a depressed person on lots of meds who rarely went out of her house just like I was before WLS. My life is so much fun and so active and filled with joy after my surgery. Best decision ever. Accountability stunk. I was tired and instead of having the sense to go to bed I ate 3 big handfuls of granola. Not enough fluids yesterday either so weight is up. Weight today 119.6. Yuck! Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1/2 c chicken salad with 1/2 c diced tomatoes D 31/2 oz polish sausage with 1/2 c cucumber salad S 3/4 c cottage cheese with no sugar added peach preserves. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal! Pic is getting ready for the cowboy shoot last Saturday.
