I get that about the collectibles. I have tons of my father's stuff in the living room, and tons of my mother's stuff in our basement family room (my mother is still alive, but she moved into a small apt in a retirement community a couple of years ago, so she got rid of about 2/3 of the crap in her former house). Luckily, we don't use our basement family room because there was a second family room added to the main level about 30 years ago (by a previous owner), but I'd still like to get the basement one cleared out. And the living room - ugh. I hate walking through the thing with all those boxes. Luckily we can just close it off from the rest of the house (it's a 60-year-old house, so it has lots of interior doors - no open concept back then!)

Good morning :)

I made it to my mom's house yesterday -- took about 8 hours as I got stopped by a terrible accident that closed a highway, then construction, then a bridge that was open for boats. The puppies went crazy when I got here, and I got lots of snuggles.

Today we are going for a drive to do some errands for my mom. Everything else is just up in the air.

QOTD: I really need to exercise more. I played a few games of soccer this summer and I did a boot camp workout this week. I can barely move. It was an amazing full body workout. I would love to tone up a bit and just improve my strength in general.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - cheese whisps

Lunch - tbd

Snack - turkey sausage

Dinner - tbd

Snack - protein shake

All water and vits.

QOTD: I really need to get to work, lol.... I also really need to stop with the night time eating. I think a new rule will be no eating after 8:30 PM. that also doesn't mean cram a bunch of food in your face at 8:29 lol

Food for today: Decided based on a little chat with my WL friend on here last night I'm keeping my carbs SUPER low, like 30 for a few days to see if i can get some of this weight off from surgery- and ice for my abdomen for swelling also was a thought. so, egg whites, egg whites, chicken patty, veg that doesn't have that many carb, prot powder.

I SLEPT last night!!! two days of bad sleep in a row and I feel awesome!!

Yoga last night, it was called work week winddown! it was awesome.

Accountability: pretty bad last night, went to GNC got the new protein cake bites in choc donut, had 1 of the 3, then a sunflower PB cup, then a chicken patty to up the prot, then 2 TB PB and a few pecans. yep it was a 500 calorie smorgasboard from 8-10 pm last night. and I WASN't even hungry. i was eating to eat. tonight will be better (see above new rules)

Good morning. Last night I went to the monthly support group my Dr's office puts on. It's a mix of pre and post op patients and it was so weird being on the other side of the table and actually feeling small. I remember feeling very squished. I was also shocked at the lack of cushion in the chair but I had so much butt to pad me before I wouldn't have noticed. I don't know that I got a ton from it because a few people monopolized the conversation, but it was good to remember where I started and hopefully inspire someone.

Accountability: I snuck some bbq potato chips from the breakroom to go with my lunch. I got sick within the hour. Won't do that again! Otherwise on track.

QOTD: I really need to go through my clothes and get rid of the too big ones. It's all so new so its hard to part with them.

3.5mos post op

B: dunkin coffee and wake up wrap

L: 2oz deli ham and 3 cracker cuts of cheddar

S: Turkey pepperoni

D: egg beater omelet with ham and cheese, bacon on the side.

Please get rid of the too big clothes. When I was shrinking I was on a first name basis with the Goodwill checkers I was there so often. They don't have to cost a lot--they just need to fit right. You will be so much more motivated when you and others can see the changes in your shape. So it's time to go shopping!

So true Karen. I know for me it was pants and bras.. couldn't stand when they didn't fit. The tops you could make work a little longer.

Beautiful day here in Illinois today. Lily and I are back from our nearly 3.7 mile walk and will do another mile after supper. I will also add a mile by walking up to the food pantry in a bit to pass out food up there. QOTD I need to find some things to keep me busy in the evening so I can't snack. I used to knit but lately that has gone by the wayside. I need to start that up again. Accountability was good last night I switched supper to strip steak but there was no extra snacking. Post op 4 years 11.75 months and weight at 118.4 today. It's hard to believe it's been almost 5 years since surgery and my weight has been the same for over 4 years. I could never have imagined a life where I would walk instead of drive to do local errands just because the weather was beautiful and I Could! Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz strip steak 1/2 c sliced tomatoes D 31/2 oz baked chicken thigh 1/2 c diced tomatoes with pepper blend S 6 oz Greek yogurt with 1 T granola. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals! Off to find some coffee!

Great job getting your walks in with Lily every morning, she must look forward to that ritual!

I think it is awesome that you help out at the food shelf, great job and inspirational, not enough people are willing to help others today, most would rather beat them when they are down on their luck. You should be commended.

Sometimes I get tired of the ones who abuse the system and aren't grateful but I keep doing it for the percentage that are thankful and just need help for right now.
