What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
on 8/17/17 3:07 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Hello Menu Crew! How is everyone? I am good. Almost to the weekend!
Accountability: On plan. Swapped out steak & had just had a yogurt for dinner due to timing
QOTD: Finish this sentence: "I really need to..." I really need to start going to bed earlier. I have to get up at 5am daily and I am naturally a night person and I go to bed late but I get all my energy at 9pm or later. Its frustrating. I am an early riser because I have to but my body wants to be a night person.
3.9 years post op RNY - maintenance food - this is what I have planned and inputted into MFP
B: tons of decaf with vanilla PP used as creamer
L: tuna/peppers/balsamic
S: 2 marble cheese strings
D: 4oz of steak + A1 sauce (the steak I didn't eat yesterday)
S: yogurt + 1 tbsp SF raspberry jam
TOTALS: 981 calories, 140 protein, 32 protein
V: patches are on
E: no gym tonight, just going grocery shopping and take the dogs out later if not raining too hard
Have a wonderful day everyone, be fabulous PHOTO FRIDAY will be open topic

Morning!
This week is flying by!
qotd: I really need to reintroduce exercise of some kind to my daily routine. Mornings make sense, but I'm struggling to cut into my quiet coffee OH time. hahah
And it was so dark when I got up this morning, I actually said I need to move further south to have some longer days! It's already shaping up to be a long winter...
accountability: good. Dinner was lazy, tuna and veggies.
Menu:
B: premier protein and coffee
L: leftover beef and veggies ( the end of it I think!)
S: leftover pork tenderloin (also the end)
D: fish or pork chop on the grill
s2 if needed, 1/2 simply protein bar.
have a good one menu peeps!

Good morning menu folks!
Today is my pickling and canning presentation, so no time for walks. But tonight is deep water aerobics, the last class before a 2 week break...sigh! I will try to get in some extra water jogging before class to make up for no walks.
Accountability: yesterday's work party really threw my protein off for the day. The organizers were great and had a meat and cheese tray and a veggie tray in the midst of all of the carbs, for which I am grateful. I was able to have some food rather than just being tempted by cupcakes and bagels. I ended up having several slices of salami and cheese and some grape tomatoes and baby carrots. No starchy carbs! Yeah me! I ended up switching out my protein shake for more salami and cheese, so my protein was less than 60 and my fat was higher than normal. But no carbs other than the veggies! I do have to say that everything was tempting, but I did manage to keep reminding myself that it wasn't something that I could eat.
QOTD: I really need to start doing weight training, especially for my upper body. Alot of my exercise is cardio that uses my lower body (walking, wogging), although the swimming helps, but my shoulders and arms feel weaker than my legs. I would like to develop more muscle tone in my upper body and that takes work. I just don't enjoy weight work as much as the cardio, so I keep putting it off.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: up in the air since it overlaps with my presentation
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: Tilapia, baby carrots
Exercise: deep water aerobics

Good morning! Busy day today, including a Dexa scan and RMR. I can't have anything bu****er until after the RMR (at 11:30 am), so I am chugging it like crazy already (missing my coffee).
QOTD: I really need to incorporate daily walking into my life. I'm good on the days when I'm not super busy, but not every day. KarenP8 is so dedicated - I want to be like her!

Good Morning!
QOTD: I am with you and having to get my sleep and order. I wish I could be a late night person and an early morning person, I would be so productive. But somehow all the magic in my brain happens late at night. LOL I got totally thrown off last night but in a good way because I got to FaceTime with the little peeps in India. I haven't spoken to them in forever so it was great. Because of the time difference they called me at11 PM and we were on over an hour. Which then just threw off my ability go to sleep
B: usual latte, eggbeaters, bacon, TJ light mozzarella
L: Steak, spinach, TJ harvest grains mix
D: chicken and TJ chopped veggie stir fry
S: orange Julius protein shake, passion tea with coconut milk and SF vanilla syrup, hummus and cucumber, pb on a spoon.
Ex: swim and gym
