Good morning all~ It actually rained here yesterday, weird little mini thunderstorms which are very unusual for CA since it never rains in summer. It has left a very hot muggy yuck that is still happening today. I swear I forgot what humidity felt like, oh yeah, it sucks!
QOTD - Healthy habits - Probably putting my health first and it's not negotiable. How I'm doing that would be daily OH, regular exercise, logging MFP, vitamins, fluids. I work really hard to meet all my goals daily.
Accountability - For dinner, I had chicken instead of shrimp which barely changed anything.
8 mo post op - 186 still, ugh
b- coffee w/cream and splenda, HB eggs
l-pepperoni/cheese
d-meatballs and a little gravy
v/l - on track
e-none -going to see dad tonight
Have a good day all!

Hi all
late post for me had to get a document out which I was supposed to get out last night but someone didn't sent to me till this morning. well- I had a quasi attack last night. I thought my twisted bowel/hernia was going to take care of this but it didn't apparently. So either it is the bile duct issue oR I'm really sensitive to carbonated beverages/sugar alcohols. I was feeling fine till I drank a diet mr hansens root beer and ate a glucerna bar last night with a lot of SA's in it. I felt super full of gas and pressure after which led to pain last night. So no more carbonated for me OR sugar alcohol. I do not want a repeat. On a high note, I was RELEASE ar the dr appt yesterday. Which really means I get to go kayaking and paddleboarding and yoga-ing anytime I want. So im trying to take it easy today but I didn't sleep last night and I'm already really tired.
We have my nephew coming today for the weekend so it will be fun. i think he is staying till sunday. saturday i think we will go to the local german restaurant as they will have a polka band- cant wait.
QOTD: I think the eating is second nature, reading nutritional labels, drinking craploads of liquids, taking vits.
food for today:
1 sausage link, protein cake, 1/2 CM yogurt
decaf iced coffee
not sure what else since I'm a little blerg with my insides.
need to figure out what to cook for dinner with company coming and he is a little picky on food but I know he eats chicken so at least there is that.
The only times I have had trouble since my last hernia repair have been when I have had sugar alcohols. I can drink sparkling mineral water no problem but any sort of sugar alcohols and I have lots of pain. I have been avoiding it and I haven't had any attack in several weeks. Hope you have no more too!
Kayaking sounds so awesome! I really want to try this soon. I saw a sign on the side of a country road in Georgia once years ago. it was right before Valentine's Day and it was one of those 'stick the letters in to make a message' signs. It said, "Nothing say I love you like a kayak." Never have truer words been written...lol A kayak does indeed say "I love you" in a very unique way. Now in my family whenever anyone sees a kayak they say, "Nothing says I love you like that" and we giggle. I think I want the kayak love!

Yes. I related it to a kidney stone pain as well. I little wider and higher but just as intense. Once the gas passed, I would feel much better though exhausted.
