Sugar free popsicles helped me. I chewed them.

I was cured of this "hunger" after trying to eat a poached egg too soon. Sweating, pain, nauseated. After that yogurt and cottage cheese were my friends (can barely choke them down now from overkill).

Crazy thing is that I watched the Food Network the whole time I was off. Chopped, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, Beat Bobby Flay.. anything about food I watched. People thought I was crazy but I had never been a good cook. The meals I knew how to make were out of a soup can as a base and included lots of pasta and processed cheese.

I learned chicken breasts are not the preferred meat -it's the thigh. You don't have to add water to everything to cook it. There's spices other than salt and pepper. There's cool skillets that are coated in enamel that cook wonderfully and don't stick. Dutch ovens are my friend. You cut against the grain in meat to make it juicy. Fat can be good for you. Carbs are not good for you.

I made food my friend and have a new respect for a cooking healthy lifestyle.
