What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Morning menu peeps! It's Friday Eve!!!!! Yay!
QOTD: There's an old Indian man face on the tile in our bathroom at work... I see him almost every time I use that stall Clouds are regularly shaping up into different animals and people... Yes, I'm like your hubby...I see faces in dead things!!! LOL
Accountability: I did well yesterday! Ended up making chili cheese dog casserole because now that hubby is home, he decided it was National Hot Dog Day, and that's what he wanted... that stuff is so yummy! I did have about 4 bites of the Halo Top chocolate almond crunch that I bought the other day. AND.... Now I understand why you ice cream lovers have to avoid that stuff! OMG is it good! Luckily for me, it shouldn't be an issue and I really can't eat a lot of ice cream (it hurts my teeth, and I just don't love ice cream), plus my husband is sharing that pint with me. But dang, it's good stuff. Why oh why can't they come up with a 'healthy' alternative to cheetos that is as good as that Halo Top is?
Yesterday I went and bought (hopefully) my last round of bras in a new size. I noticed that my 34DDD's were too big, so off I went to Soma. This is an NSV of sorts I guess because I now own 32DD's. Don't let that DD fool you though, because as you get smaller around the back, the cup sizes really shrink! It has really messed with me though, because I really thought I was 'bigger boned' all of my life. But obviously, with a 32DD, I'm not. I'm also noticing most all of my 8's are getting baggy on me, and I also bought this tunic at Soma in a size SMALL... I had the Medium on, and the girls told me it was too big and brought me the small. It's really cute! I can't wait to wear it!!! So even though I lost no weight last month (And I'm not surprised considering there was so much going on between vacation and hospital time in Austin), I've rearranged some of that weight... The changes in my body amaze me... not to mention how much better I feel and can do so many more things!!!
Weight this morning 138.4 - Over 1 year out, and flirting between maintenance and losing another few pounds

So it's so easy, it's really just throwing it all together instead of building it as you eat it.
I take a package of hotdogs and cut them up into bite size pieces... brown them really well and then put them into a small oven safe dish... then I dump a can of hormel chili (no beans, you could use the turkey too) and spread that all over the hotdogs... then I squeeze mustard all around the top, add a layer of chopped onions (for me, you know my dude doesn't eat them!), I also add several shakes of whatever hot sauce suits me at the time to amp it up a bit... and then smother it all in grated cheese... throw it in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until it bubbling and the cheese is all melty.
I just like it better than building it as you go, because the hotdogs get infused more with the chili!
I'm not convinced it's the 'healthiest' dish in the world, but I'm convinced it tastes great!

QOTD: I will absolutely see shapes/animals in clouds...that's about it. I'm too busy eating the toast to look for faces :)
Since the brace is off (YAY!) I am actually in a little more pain. More achy pain just because I no longer have the support and my arm hasn't moved this much for 6 weeks. I asked the PT guy if it was OK to go back to the gym and he said yes- although I have a 5lb limit from Doctor. So I was sitting there contemplating- should I call the manager and tor should I wait... and the phone rings and it's the Manager of the gym... great guy. Took it as a sign from God. :) He is going to let me have a free session with my trainer to evaluate where I am before I start anything...so I felt good about that. I trust my trainer, he knows his stuff he's a certified Exercise physiologist- and if he thinks I shouldn't do it he will have no problem telling me- No you are not ready.
Food is sparse in my fridge, so I either have to go freezer scouring or shopping. Haven't been on the road again since my initial maiden voyage....
Thanks for the crunchy suggestions yesterday. I laughed- all veggies. You mean there isn't the miracle crunchy carb with no calories????
B: Latte w/fairlife/MCT OIl and Miralax, TJ baked cheese crisps
L: Meaty ricotta bake
D:Parmesan flounder, spinach
S: Iced coffee w/premier protein, cheese and salami, protein drink TBD,

Parmesan flounder sounds yummy! I haven't picked up flounder in a long time!
Sorry there's more pain right now... hopefully it'll start to strengthen back up and your range of motion will improve sooner than later

Good morning Daisy and friends!
Accountability: Yesterday I'd budgeted a single piece of sprouted grain bread for a half sandwich at dinner. Instead, while in the midst of a political argument with a friend, I ate a TBSP of peanut butter and part of a (small) dark chocolate candy bar. I then skipped my dinner and went for my run of 3 miles plus a walk so I got in almost 15000 steps and when I got back to the house (and interrupted a racoon party on the front porch?) I was so exhausted that I just drank a protein shake and went to bed. My actual macros aren't bad for the choices- total calories came out to 628 and protein was 95, carbs 21 and sugar 12...
QOTD: Sometimes I do, then they can't be unseen :)

Exercise: Today I was supposed to ride my bike to work. I had promised to bring in a suit I've outgrown to a coworker, it's also the day my box of locally farmed produce is delivered to the office and it's going to be in the 90s. These things combined to kill said bike plans. I will be driving home to NE Ohio after work so there won't be any real exercise today... I have to get some blood work done for the bariatric center so I'll walk to a local hospital in our network at lunch :)
Random story - last night after my run and walk, as I was coming back up the dark neighborhood street where my sister lives, I could hear what sounded like dogs playing on a porch. The hollow space under the wooden boards make it louder and the patter of feet made me think puppies (no toenail clicks). As I got closer I realized it was coming from my sister's house (where I'm staying alone). My first thought was that my uncle was visiting and that he tied his two beagle to her porch swing, which I could see moving about. But no. It was a family of raccoons, two were on the porch swing, the mom was on the floor scolding a third youngster who was careening around the porch with a kid's rain boot stuck on his head! My arrival put an end to the shenanigans and they all took off like rats leaving a ship! I was surprised that they were all on a well lit porch - like it was family night at the park! If I hadn't been so exhausted I would have had the end of it on video because I turned on my phone as I approached - but in my staggering post run shape, I managed to not press the actual video button. Fortunately the key I'd hidden was in the OTHER child's boot. I found the boot/hat in the yard this morning...
