Morning everyone! I was at all day meetings yesterday and never got a chance to log in to OH. Perhaps that means that I have no accountability to report since I didn't post a menu? LOL I fall firmly in the 'spirit of the law' not the 'letter of the law' camp so...

Accountability: I was a mess yesterday. I didn't have my usual routines and I really felt out of sorts. Instead of eating B,L,D and 2 Snacks like I usually do I ate random things at random times. I didn't log into MFP. I have no idea what my totals were. I didn't eat anything crazy off plan but I definitely grazed. Hoping for a better day today. Weight is OK, 127. Been struggling with feeling bloated and a bit like a well fed tick. This boot thing is making activity a real challenge and has caused my hip, back, and neck to be sore. My legs are swollen and my toes look like sausages. I am going to buckle down on logging into MFP and cut back on salt at least until the swelling improves. I will be so glad once the surgeon clears me to be out of the boot. I just want walk without hobble hobble hobbling.

EDIT to add QOTD: I really wish I would get better at logging into MFP! That is an obvious goal for me. Also I want to start a Bullet Journal. I case you aren't familiar, here is a link to one site about Bullet Journals (BuJo in the lingo of the internet), there are tons of sites dedicated to BuJos though. I am organizing a get together with a group of friends to start one. One of my friends is super good at journal writing and she keeps beautiful artsy lovely notes. She is going to give us a mini workshop. I am looking forward to that.

Menu: B: Light & Fit Greek Banana; L: Left over beef barley soup; D: Chicken Enchilada Soup; S: Deviled egg; ES: Boiled egg; Totals: Cal 930, Protein 78; Carb 54; Fat 44

Morning OH~ I am so out of sorts...forgot my phone today and I feel panicky about it, not liking this... After work tonight I am going to see my dad and taking him to dinner. Looking forward to seeing him

Accountability - Before accountability, I didn't fully take full responsibility for what changes I made throughout the day. I'm not eating carbs, cake or drinking...they are more like pork rinds, a handful of nuts, a spoon of PB or maybe a piece of cheese. None of these things are forbidden, just not good to add to my plan if my macros have already been met and I want to continue to lose. It's behavior that I want to recognize. I didn't get to 300 pounds by being accountable so this has really opened my eyes in a positive way.

QOTD - There are many, but the one that comes to mind right now? I wish I would take better care of my house plants. Usually, I wait for them to wilt before watering and almost die before repotting. I recently took home many beautiful mature plants (from my mom) so I have to step up my game. I trimmed and repotted a few and gave them lots of love when I brought them home. It is my mission to take very good care of them all now. Here's hoping!

7mo post op - 200.2 forget about it....ugh - so bloated still - not putting out what I'm taking in....

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda, egg salad

l-egg salad or maybe tuna w/balsamic

d-cheese burger - no bun

v/l on track

e-none today

Have a great day!

I appreciate your dedication to starting this thread. Thanks!

Accountability: I always like the thread because I like having a plan, I make better choices overall when there's a plan, but life happens and I don't always share every change, as long as they were still good choices. I always try to be transparent about the bad choices, Hopefully so I don't make them again, and because I think it's important to see that we are all works in progress.

Right now my struggle is night time eating, right before bed. So I'm trying to be accountable on that. I got up to go to bed last night, take my nighttime meds/vitamins and I was not hungry, but said oh I planned on peanut butter and pecans so eat a small portion of that, half of what I said. But it was like opening the gates, and then ate a protein bar. While my overall day was fine, calorie wise, carb wise etc. but the mental lack of self-control, which then rolls into the physical lack of self-control bugs me.

B: latte w/fairlife/mct oil/miralax

L: 2 1/2oz gyro meat, ¼ pita, tzaziki sauce

D: bacon, cheeseburger, salad

S: iced coffee with vanilla premier as creamer, pork rinds, protein drink TBD, PB on a spoon w/crushed pecans

Hello everyone,

Nasty muggy day in CT today again!

Accountability: I love the accountability. Yesterday I had 3 cherry tomatoes that I had not planned on and raised my carbs by 4 for total of 8 and 12 extra cals. It didn't blow my day to hell but I didn't plan on it. Today i'm planning on it and if I don't eat them then it's a bonus!

QOTD: I need to work around my knee pain do more exercise!

Menu is the same as yesterday with the exception of a few cherry tomatoes,

B:2eggs, turkey breakfast sausage, 1/2 slice of cheese

L: 3oz turkey breast

S: 1 1/2oz turkey breast, 1/2oz prosciutto diparma

D: 2oz flat iron steak, 1 1/2oz pork tenderloin, 2 forkfuls of broccoli rabe, 3 cherry tomtatoes

S: ostrim meat stick

Cals:643, Carbs:8, Protein:90

Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

Hi Peeps! Making a point to get online to post today- work is so busy all the dang time. 10 more days till vacation :-)

Accountability: I worked on a project from home last night and popcorn my hubby brought home kept me company. There are worse things in the world, but I literally had to tell myself- OK you need to stop eating this NOW. It became a game to see how many kernels I could fit in my mouth. My carbs ended at 80 (goal is 55). I'm clearly seeing I need to keep my carbs at 60 or lower to not see impact on the scale. Mentally accepting that is a whole other story.

QOTD: Flossing. I know you're supposed to, but I don't regularly. Unless I feel something stuck in my teeth, I floss maybe twice a month. I don't have 'tight' teeth, so its not a huge issue- but I feel guilty lying to my dentist at each visit.

26 months out, 198 today

M1: 3 eggs scrambled, 4 turkey sausage link and 1 slice cheese

M2: Greek yogurt & berries

M3: 3.5 oz ham/turkey/cheese roll, 1/2 apple

M4: leftover curry chicken

Hello everyone! I've been trying to post, always setbacks. My husband had a shoulder replacement on 6/29. He was told to take baby asprin to avoid blood clots on his discharge. So, 6 hospital days, 7 bags of blood, 2 bags of plasma, 2 bags of platelets, we are now home. For me, I have been candy free for almost 2 weeks. I had another successful hospital stay. My husband likes for me to spend the night, so I had 5 nights and 6 days at the hospital and I did not buy candy, cake, cookies, none of the stress releasers I used in the past.

Accountability: I like it. I don't post a lot, but I read a lot. I used to wonder how so many people had such perfect days. I like to see that someone struggles like I do, and may eat something that didn't plan, and then they are back on the wagon. Being in maintenance, I do plan or allow a lot of food items that are not the best choices. Sometimes I feel like I have it together. I can eat a small item and presto, I am back on track. Sometimes I feel like I am going down a drain and flailing. I can't seem to control the carb master. My weight flucuates, and as long as I respond, it is cool. I am happy the vets chip in. I know I am still in the easy stage and it will get harder to maintain. I am working on eliminating a couple of my triggers. Sometimes I think like Kat, and call a food item crack. Other times I see that another person can handle more choices in their menu. Most of the time I don't have guilt. I do have fear. I don't to be too skinny, I don't want to have an eating disorder. I do want to have a healthy body. I don't want to lose control. I like to know that others are struggling with the same issues. It is real. I think people who never had WLS struggle with maintaining their weight. I think this is normal behavior for any adult over age 25. But then I wonder if I am being extreme. Oh well

B: Premier protein

L: Costco 2 pieces of pizza, toppings only

D: chicken & ribs

S: 2 frozen carbmaster yogurts

S: salad
