Good morning Daisy and Menu family!

Accountability: I was doing OK, I missed a few meals/snacks yesterday but I had started my day with a protein shake (170 calories) so I was doing fine. I had friends over for a dinner party and stayed right on trac****il a bunt pan of monkey bread was set on the table. Everyone was picking at it and I ended up having THREE chunks of the thing! So in the last two hours of the day, I added about 360 calories of which 65g were carbs, 6 of them sugar. This took my total calories from 620 ish to 930 ish. I didn't exercise, I didn't get in my 8000 minimum steps.

QOTD: I love a great pair of ankle high socks when paired with my running shoes, and a really good "smart wool" sock in the winter for wearing with my winter boots. Otherwise, like you Daisy, I prefer bare feet. I actually do like to wear my "five finger" shoes, they give me the same feeling of traction that I get with bare feet, while providing some protection from the grossness of walking/running in the city. Grossness like mystery fluids outside a bar, or the occasional road-kill... While they make toe socks that you can wear with your Vibram shoes, I like them without socks.

3 mo Post RNY/ 169 lbs/ Weight-loss Diet

B- 11 oz. Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate shake

MS- NA I did bring pastries in for the office and I've been able to avoid them (even the still warm cherry turnovers made with local cherries)

L- Tuna Salad (inside of a tuna wrap left over from Monday)

AS- skipping for a class on meditation

D- 1/2 cup Venison Taco meat (before my run)

ES- 11 oz Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate (post run)

Total Calories: 619, Protein: 103, Carbs: 24, Sugar: 3, Fat: 14

Exercise: Today I have meetings all over the greater Columbus area, so I didn't ride my bike to work. I have a meditation class after work, then I'll go home and get my "Baby steps to a 5K" run in, then continue to wal****il I have reached my 10K steps for the day.

Weather permitting, I'm planning on riding my bike into work early tomorrow morning - then heading home a little early (4:30 ish) on the bike so I can still make my drive up North for dinner and to check in on the husband/farm. I have a meeting Friday back here in Columbus, so I'll probably turn around after dinner and drive the 2 1/2 hours back down to Columbus tomorrow night. I'm not going to promise a bike ride back in Friday as I'll be running on only a few hours of sleep.

Question on measurements: Where do you measure for your "hips" vs "butt"? I mean my hip bones sit at about the widest part of my butt, should I be measuring around my pelvis bones instead? I'm always confused by this...

On measurements, I was always a pear with some hourglass attributes. After my mastectomy, my breasts were reconstructed using belly fat. Of course that went first so now I'm basically an A cup size of mostly lumps of framework built to support the transplanted fat. Kinda gross but I digress! My waist appears slimmer than my chest, but the measurement at my narrowest part of my waist is the exact same (32") as the measurement at my chest (below breasts, bra-strap level). I'm assuming there is back fat involved in this but it's still kinda weird to LOOK narrower at the waist but be the same as the chest measurement.

I'm wearing a pin striped suit today since I have a few meetings with senior management and the structured coat is visibly too large on me. Granted, it's a nice problem to have! The suit is a W14, and I'm fitting into 10s and 12s on top and 14 - 12 on the bottom. I have a nice pile of clothes to take to the Goodwill store tonight

I've always measured at the widest part. Before surgery and for a while after, this was more butt-ish than hip-ish. Now my butt has gone wherever my boobs crawled off to, so it's more around the hips, lol.

I haven't measured since well before surgery. I judge my progress by when my pants are falling off my butt and I can swim in my shirts. LOL! I know this is not what most people do but it works for me . If I measured I would drive myself crazy!

Good morning all~ Daisy - sorry you had a tough time last night w/the chicken. Those chest pains are the worst. When that happens, I have to make myself throw up, I cannot handle it!

Feeling like crap physically really puts a damper on everything. I am still working through bathroom issues. They are getting better (so they must have been worse than I though) but I feel so sluggish, bloated and unmotivated. Why it is effecting me emotionally? I don't know. Maybe I am coming down with something, or maybe it's because BF is away, but it makes everyday issues seem so much bigger and lowers my ability to function well...buck up buttercup!

Accountability - planned dinner of scrambled eggs turned in to pork rinds w/salsa - Why did I buy those devil things again?

QOTD - I used to always be hot so I was barefoot whenever possible. Now I am always cold so I am in socks and/or slippers all the time. I can't stand it when my feet get even a little dirty now so it grosses me out to go barefoot anymore. At the very least I wear flip flops but I will go barefoot at the beach.

7 mo post op - 200.1 so over this f'ing number

b- coffee w/ heavy cream and splenda, sweet and spicy tea, water

l- tuna salad

d-scrambled eggs

v/l - on track

e - 60 min lap swim

Have a great day ya'll

Accountability it wasn't good. I have a binge eating disorder that im working on. Soup and half of sandwich, bake beans, potato chips and dip for dinner. Later small piece of carrot cake. At home before bed i had my shrimp, potato chips and ice cream cone. Im just being honest even though i know its wrong.

QOTD I have socks on 24 hours unless im wearing sandals which isn't often. I can't sleep very well without them

B spinach, ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna and cottage cheese

D sirloin tip roast and mixed veggies

S shrimp

Hi everyone, I hate wearing shoes. When I was.little my parents got me black high top lace up sneaks....which they would put on me every morning.

Before I forget.... What is buddig meat? Also do you think one cup of coffee (not decaf,) is OK to have,?

Tomorrow I go to get blood work in prep for my Monday visit with my surgeon. Not really looking forward to it. He's an excellent surgeon and he's nice we just don't seem to get each other. I know he's taking good care but somehow I always leave with a vague feeling that I've done something wrong. Well I'm sure it's just me being crazy z(something I'm really good at).

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.... Nancy
